🐾 Dogs really do live in their own little world sometimes 😅🐶

One minute they’re investigating a blade of grass like it’s the most important thing they’ve ever seen…

The next they’re strutting home after a group walk like they’ve just won an Olympic gold medal 🏅🐕💨

After 15+ years of dog walking around Dundee, Broughty Ferry and Monifieth, one thing I’ve learned is that dogs don’t need much to be happy:

🐾 Plenty of exercise
🐾 A bit of adventure
🐾 And maybe the occasional muddy puddle 😅

I’m convinced some dogs think they’re famous.

The amount of confidence they walk around with after a group walk you’d think they’d just finished a world tour 😅🐕💨

Meanwhile they’ve spent the morning:
✔ sniffing bushes
✔ chasing leaves
✔ discussing important neighbourhood matters with their pals

And somehow they come home acting like they’ve conquered the world 😂

I’m beginning to think the dogs have their own WhatsApp group… 👀😅

Because the second one spots the van, somehow the entire neighbourhood knows.

One minute they’re asleep on the sofa…
The next they’re launching themselves through the house like they’ve won concert tickets 🎟️🐕💨

Meanwhile the owners are standing there thinking:
“I wish he was this excited when I asked him to come in from the garden.” 😂

I’m starting to suspect some of the dogs don’t actually come out for the walks…

They come out for the gossip. 👀😅

The way they all run over to each other every morning you’d think they were catching up on the latest neighbourhood drama.

“Dave from number 12 got a new squeaky toy.”
“Bella rolled in something disgusting again.”
“The postman is still suspicious.”

Meanwhile I’m just there trying to maintain some level of professionalism 🤦‍♂️🐕

After 15+ years of dog walking, I’ve learned that dogs are basically furry little soap opera characters with muddy paws.

🐾 One of the nicest parts of this job is seeing dogs build friendships over the years.

Some of the dogs in my walking groups have been out together for years now, and the excitement when they spot each other still makes me smile every day.

The excitement when the van arrives is unreal.
Tails wagging.
Dogs bouncing.
