A bit of Art 🎨 Work to brighten up the field is finished Thanks to My Aunty.

The dogs painted are all regulars and their Pawrents have supported me from Day1!

It's a HUGE Thank you to them for their continued support over the last 5 years 🙏.

Hope you all like it. 😬

Running the field is constant, there's always something to fix or something to buy but I love what I do and I couldn't have imagined meeting so many wonderful people and their dogs - I am truly grateful.

Work on the wall as you go through the Customer Entrance Gate starts this morning 🌄.

Scaffolding and railings are up so please use the large gate beside the shop.

If your dog is nervous or reactive please inform myself or the person in the field and she will happily come out for a rest and a cuppa ☕️.

It's going to be hot 🔥 today and tomorrow, be mindful and ensure your dog is 😎 cool and if the Paddling pool needs filled up, just let me know.

What better way to spend a Sunny 🌞 Sunday ?

Its my second day at Galloway Country Fair , the sun is shining, my stand is stocked up and customers are already here.

Had a great day yesterday and I'm sure it will be even busier today 🤞.

It was so lovely to see so many of my friends & customers come to say "Hello" ( it was actually the dogs that sniffed me out first - the treats...not me 🤣)

And of course - I couldn't have done this without the support of my husband - Greig. 🤗

My New Branded items! At last my shop Raw Meats and Treats has a professional logo. So pleased with all the items! Can't recommend Tapass design and print enough 🙏. Fast service, superb quality, always quick to answer messages and reasonable priced. SOOOOO EXCITED 😊 🥳🤗❤️

Goose and I walked the field last night and she was not happy!

5 new holes that have been dug up. These can be a trip hazard for others using the field - so PLEASE do not let you dog dig holes in the field 🙏.

Guess what I'll be doing after I finish in the shop??
Barrowing soil from the other field into the dog field to fill up the holes - Thanks 🤣.

Keep an eye on your dogs at all times, I know dogs do like to dig BUT not in the field - let them do it in your garden .

I have children, elderly and of course lots of dogs that visit the field. If a dog is running and doesn't see the hole they could Injure themselves. 🐾

Please be more mindful 🙏

That's me home from a 3 night break away ( just what I needed) unfortunately I have had a few messages about poo 💩 not getting picked up through the day 😥.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK THIS UP. I know this is only the minority of Customers but this is the FIRST year the field hasn't been fully booked during the Summer months 🌞.

I appreciate that there is new fields opened locally which is fantastic 😀.
We all offer different things in our fields and have unique reasons for customers to go to them all but I feel that customers are not returning because they are finding poo not getting picked up??
Or is there any other reasons? 🤔

A regular also sent me a picture of something that was left in the field - and if swallowed could have been fatal for a dog 🐕.

I check the field every morning and evening - last night I found sugar spilt over the shelf, 2 used cups, 4 balls not picked up and poles from agility equipment not put back on the jumps.

Again, if a new customers were to visit the field and saw this I would assume they may not return.

This is a business but it is also my passion and I strive to ensure the field is safe, secure, clean and as cheap to book!

I thank ALL customers / friends who always help keep the field Clean after their visit but with limited bookings I am starting to worry, What else can I do??

I am making improvements but these take time, please continue to support the FIRST Freedom field in the area get to it 5th Birthday 🤣.

I am away tomorrow until Sunday so there will be no tea/ coffee or toys in the field, sorry. The shop will be Closed . If you don't know already I am attending the Galloway Country Fair on 9th and 10th Aug and delighted to say that I will be selling handmade Dog beds on behalf of Dumfriesshire and Cumbria Greyhound Rescue . 100% of the money for the beds goes directly to them! Here is a lovely post showing the beds I will be taking 😄

It was a great evening supporting Castle Douglas Civic Days Pet Show last night! I had a table full of treats and toys from the shop.

A huge well done to everyone who organised it and to DogGo for being head judge! It's a tough job but Nichole done amazing 👏.

I am buzzing to be going to Galloway Country Fair this year. It's on Sat 9th & Sunday 10th Aug.
If you are coming along please pop in and say hello 👋 ( and maybe bring me a coffee ☕️, just milk 🥛 - no sugar 😋)

I have been buying extra stock as it's my first big event for Raw Meats and Treats .
Most of you have met my eldest son, Clark - he will be there to keep the water bowls & Paddling pool filled up and help me serve 😀.

Thankfully the weekends bookings were nearly 0.
The weather was just unbearable for our poor dogs.

But as we all know in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 it didn't last long ( thank goodness ) and it was back to rain in no time!

A reminder to always check the weather before booking. Once again I changed 2 customers bookings today because of the rain...however it has been forecast for days!

THERE IS A 12 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY.

When you book you will get an email to confirm booking...YOU can change the day/time the day before. 😀

If you have visited the field in the last 2 days you hopefully have noticed that the shed wall has been power washed, pointed and painted 🎨 Thanks to my wonderful Husband!

Now there is scaffolding in the field....Can't wait to show you what is happening! 🙏

Just waiting on some dry days now.

With temperatures 🌡 rising on Saturday and Sunday PLEASE DO NOT WALK YOUR DOGS ON PAVEMENTS! Their Paws will burn 🔥.

If you would like to book at 6am or after 8pm, please message me to book!

The field does have a cold water tap, please hose your dog before they have a run in the field, keep the water bowl filled, if the Paddling pool needs topped up - let me know!

I would advise to only book for 30mins when it's hot. 🌞

It's always better letting them run on grass 🟩 than a hot pavement but be mindful and keep them cool 😎.
