Dumfries Doggy Day Care & Boarding Dumfries based Doggy Daycare Licensed Dog daycare D&G council
Looking after small and medium dogs. For daycare, we offer a pickup and drop-off service.

We only take in limited numbers so your dog can run around with ours and will be observed at all times. We don't keep any dogs in a crates or kennels and they are inside and outside the house with us. We have a dedicated play area, grass patch for zoomies, and 'sniffers paradise' plant area with dog friendly plants for those who like exploring and discovering. I am trained in dog first aid, canin

e psychology and canine physiotherapy. I am currently getting an advanced first aid qualification and a qualification in training dogs. Puppies continue their potty and basic commands training whilst in our care. All dogs can participate in daily brain training games and scent work exercises. (Dumfries and surrounding area)

No dog ever died from missing one walk🚨

If the pavement is too hot for your hand for five seconds, it's definitely too hot for paws. During the heatwave, stick to walks at dusk and dawn to avoid burnt paw pads and heatstroke, and if in doubt, don't go out.

Please share this vital reminder to help protect four (and three!)-legged friends in hot weather.

Dogs in hot cars can overheat in minutes ☀️

Even on a mild day, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise dangerously fast even in the shade and with windows open.

A quick trip to the shops is never worth the risk. Heatstroke can happen within minutes and can be fatal.

No dog should be left at risk but those most prone to heatstroke include:
• Older or very young dogs
• Flat-faced breeds
• Dogs with thick or heavy coats
• Dogs with underlying health conditions

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke:
• Heavy panting
• Excessive drooling
• Breathing difficulties
• Lethargy or collapse
• Vomiting
• Loss of coordination

If you see a dog in distress or showing signs of heatstroke in a hot car, call Police Scotland on 999 immediately.

Hello everyone!

We are moving to a new online booking system which will keep all your info in a centralised location and keep you up to date with vaccinations and important notices.

I think I’ve been able to transfer the majority of information but unfortunately we will need another digital signature and for you to run your eye over the info to make sure it is all up to date.

Its main purpose is to keep track of vaccination cards and customer details and you get full visibility of available spaces.

Access can be granted by contacting me (Mark) first to allow you the ability to log on.

Here’s a quick how to video guide

And here is the link to register once you have contacted me for access.

No rush our end for you to do it.

I hope to have all customers on it by start of July.

If you are struggling feel free to call me on 07869772953 and I will talk you through it.

Thanks in advance!

We hope all our patients and clients have had a lovely day enjoying this gorgeous weather!☀️😍

A few tips to keep your pets cool this week -
🐾 Always having a bowl of water available
🐾 Ensure your pet always has access to shade
🐾 Paddling pools and sprinklers
🐾 Cold treats such as frozen fruit
🐾 Cooling mats and cold towels

And as always - please ensure you are not walking your dog during the day in this heat. Walk them first thing in the morning and last thing at night when it is cooler. 😎
