Every single day, usually several times a day, I see fake puppy adverts on Facebook. They steal photos and take deposits. It’s heartbreaking. I report as many as I can, but Meta doesn’t always remove them. Please take two minutes to read this before sending any deposit. 🚨 Ask for a live video call, a genuine breeder should be happy to show you the pup, its mum and where it’s being raised.
📸 Watch out for stolen photos, scammers regularly steal pictures from genuine breeders. If you’ve seen the same pup on different pages, that’s a huge red flag. Try a reverse image search if you’re unsure. 💬 Pay attention to their replies. Do they answer your actual questions or just send generic, copied and pasted messages? Avoid anyone who dodges simple questions.⏳ Don’t be rushed into paying a deposit. Someone else is interested. You need to pay today. Classic pressure tactics.🏠 Visit if if you can, or ask for a live video call instead. Never rely on photos alone. 📝 Ask plenty of questions: health testing, vaccinations, worming, microchipping, licences if applicable. A genuine breeder should be happy to answer. ❤️ Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, walk away. There will always be another puppy. Please help fight these scammers. 🚩 Report every scam page or fake advert to Meta.
