🆘️ Our Head Nurse needs your help!! 🆘️

"Hi 👋 My name is Emily and I am one of the nurses at MBG. I am currently working towards my Masters in Advanced Veterinary Nursing with Harper Adams University. The final part of my Masters is a research project. I am interested in finding out about owners understanding of post operative pain.
I would be very grateful if you could spare 10 minutes to fill out the questionnaire below.
Thank you!"

You must be over 18 to take part in this study and you must currently own or have previously owned at least one dog. The following questionnaire should only take 10 minutes to complete. OSCAR'S STORY 🐾

Oscar, a lovely Labrador, came to see us after his owners noticed he was having difficulty swallowing and had developed rigid facial muscles, causing a characteristic “grin.” After examination and investigation with our vet Jonny, Oscar was diagnosed with tetanus — a condition caused by Clostridium tetani bacteria, which is thankfully very rare in dogs.

It is thought the bacteria entered Oscar’s body through a ripped nail, highlighting how even small wounds can occasionally lead to more serious infections.

Over the following month, Oscar received dedicated treatment and supportive care from our team, and we are delighted to say he made a full recovery 💙

Tetanus can be a very serious condition, so it was wonderful to see Oscar regain his happy, waggy self again. Thank you to his owners for their commitment throughout his treatment journey, and well done to Oscar for being such a brave patient!

We have all been so busy that we had failed to realise that this week is National Veterinary Receptionist Week!! 🎉

This week is a reminder that compassionate pet care starts before the consult room. We are here to support our clients on those difficult days as well as celebrating the good ones. We aim to keep things running even when the waiting room is full, the phones are ringing and emotions are running high.

Thank you to all our Recetion Teams at Droitwich, Worcester and Webbs for the hard work you carry out every day of the week!
