Tiggy👑
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve EVER met a Pomeranian quite as tiny as little Tiggy!🥹💕 She is quite literally the sweetest, most precious little girl, with a personality that is just as big as her teeny-tiny self!🐻
Despite being a tiny little princess, Tiggy is an absolute angel for her groom. She is so well behaved and I honestly could cuddle her all day!
With a gorgeous double-coated breed like a Pomeranian, preparation is EVERYTHING! Their beautiful coats can be prone to compacting, particularly close to the skin, so taking the time to prep the coat properly is essential for achieving the best results.
Tiggy had a good scrub and conditioning treatment to cleanse her coat, add softness and help prepare it for the blow-dry. A clean, properly conditioned coat makes all the difference when it comes to brushing, drying and achieving that gorgeous fluffy finish!☁️
Before drying, I worked through her coat with a conditioning spray to help with brushing and manageability. The high-velocity dryer then helps separate the coat, remove loose undercoat and reveal any remaining compacted areas that need extra attention. This is followed by a thorough brush-through and comb-through to make sure her coat is beautifully fluffed, lifted and free from tangles✨
To finish, Tiggy had a light scissor tidy all over to neaten her outline, soften her shape and keep her looking beautifully polished without taking away too much of her natural fluff!🎀
Pomeranians have a double coat, consisting of a soft, dense undercoat and a longer outer coat that work together to help protect and insulate them. Cutting this coat too short, particularly with close clipping or shaving can interfere with its natural function and may cause coat regrowth problems, including changes in texture or areas that struggle to grow back as expected.
This is why I prefer to preserve as much of their beautiful natural coat as possible, opting for a light, balanced scissor tidy rather than taking them too short. The aim is to enhance their natural shape, keep them looking neat and fluffy, and protect the gorgeous coat they were born with!☁️🐾
And just LOOK at her tiny little face!🥹🎀
