Dogs in Need Dogs in Need is a registered charity which re-homes dogs no longer required by their present owners, or are in pounds and in desperate need of homes.

Re-homing in the Southern home counties. Operating largely in the Southern Counties, we seek to place unwanted dogs in suitable new homes, currently homing an average of 3 to 4 dogs per week. Dogs come to us in two ways. Their present owners choose to contact us because they no longer wish to keep their dog, typical causes being illness, emigration, marriage break-up, the dog's behavioural problem

s (often because the owners work and leave the dog alone), allergies and even the imminent arrival of a baby. We also take dogs from Pounds in areas with major stray problems, particularly Eire.

Meet lovely Rupert, he came to us after being found as a stray along with his brother Yogi. They were never reclaimed.

Rupert is approx 18 months old. He's a beagle mix.
He's a fabulous little man who is great with other dogs. We haven't cat tested him yet.

Rupert is an active boy, he would make a great family dog for a family with older dog savvy children.
We have started his lead training and he is doing really well.

Meet Kal! He is 4 years old and is just the perfect boy!
Kal loves everyone ( he could even learn to love a cat!) He has helped so many frightened dogs grow in confidence, they have all been adopted whilst Kal is still waiting😢
We desperately want Kal to find his forever humans.
He's just the best all round boy.
He would make the perfect first sight hound. Equally he would slot straight into an already existing family!!

Meet our very handsome Yogi. He came to us along with his brother Rupert.
They were found as strays and never reclaimed. He is approx 18 months old.
He's a beagle mix.
This boy has a very gentle nature. He is great with other dogs( not cat tested yet. )

Like his brother he has started lead training, you will need to continue this. He may also need some house training.

This boy is just fabulous. He would make a great family companion. We would home to a family with dog savvy children.

Éinín ( Birdie) is approx 12 months old and a beautiful petite lemon and white whippet/lurcher lady.

Éinín came to us from a local pound after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. She is an easy going girl who gets on well with other dogs and loves everyone ( NO cats please ).

She is easy to walk on a lead, loves the car and is just a happy girl in general.

Éinín would make a lovely addition to any family.

Meet our lovely Sally. She came to us from a local dog pound heavily pregnant.
Sally gave birth to 8 babies and is now ready to find her forever home. Sally is approx 5 years old, she is a curly coat Border collie and quite possibly a failed working dog.

Sally will need an extremely active home, she has buckets of energy.
No cats and preferably a home where she is the only dog.

She is super intelligent, like all collies they need lots of mental stimulation.
Sal has an unusual curly black coat and her quirky one ear up, one down give her a very unique sweet look.

Blake is a fabulous Saluki boy who has been with us for some time. He was found on a very wet and stormy night. Cold, hungry and extremely frightened.
Blake has come such a long way. He is great with other dogs( definitely NO cats) .
He is a typical Saluki, very majestic but can be a little aloof.
Blake will benefit from a K9 companion, either male or female.
He loves his zoomies, equally he loves to kick back and relax.

Olive is a petite whippet x Saluki approx 2 years old

When she first arrived she was extremely frightened and didn't want anyone to touch her. Thanks to one of our other amazing dogs who has shown her how to trust humans, she is now a more confident and happy girl.

Olive would benefit from being in a home with another K9 companion. She will still need some extra tlc and someone who understands her shyness and will give her the time to adjust to her new surroundings.
