Each of these lectures will last 45-minutes. All attendees will receive 2 hours of CPD certification 📝 🥈

Great to see Tooter making a recovery. He initially presented unable to move his back legs or feel pain. An MRI showed epidural empyema at T13/L1 and osteomyelitis of T13. He is improving on antibiotics and we hope he will make a full recovery. This highlights again why MRI is superior to CT for imaging the spine as this could have easily been missed on CT.

We’re delighted to share a lovely outcome for Hedi, who recently underwent surgery with us to remove a spinal tumour.
Hedi was treated by our specialist surgeon Jonathan Bell, an ECVS Diplomate, who performed the procedure with great care and expertise. Spinal surgery is always complex, and cases like this highlight the importance of advanced imaging, careful planning and specialist surgical experience.
Hedi has been an absolute star throughout her treatment, and it’s been a privilege to be part of her journey. We’d like to thank her owners for trusting us with her care, and for their kindness to the whole team.
We love being able to support patients like Hedi, and to work closely with referring vets to provide advanced care when it’s most needed. ,

If you have a flat-faced breed and are concerned about their breathing, this is a great opportunity to have them checked by our specialist team.

Assessments are carried out by ECVS Diplomate **Jonathan Bell**, providing expert evaluation and advice for your pet’s health and comfort.

Pennine Referrals are hosting another exciting 'CPD Supper Club' on Tuesday 17th March, it will include three lectures covering the following subjects:

Mythbusting Barriers to Surgical Procedures
How risky are anaesthetics
The value of pre-anaesthetic bloods in the era of contextualised care
The risks and benefits of a**l sacculectomy, screw tail excision, & TECAs
Myths about cruciate ligament disease and orthopaedic surgery in general

Skin in the Game: Decision Making and Management of Skin and Subcutaneous Tumours
Biological behaviour of the most common tumour types
Types of resection, margins and the concept of proportionate margins
When to stage and how to stage tumours
Examples of tumours and open floor discussion on how to deal with them

Each of these 30-minute lectures are suitable for both veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses.
All attendees will receive 1 1/2 hours of CPD certification.

Lovely to see Enzo for a recheck 4 days after repair of a hiatus hernia where the spleen stomach and small intestines had gone into the thorax causing difficulty breathing and lethargy. He is now making a great recovery. We are hopeful he will continue to recovery well.
