We’re saddened that we need to point out a few things but some of the messages or comments our team have received over the last few weeks simply won’t be tolerated:
1. We are a completely volunteer led charity. None of us get paid. We ALL have to fit Lulu’s in around our lives & jobs. We have 5 volunteers co ordinating all our friends, adoptions, fosterers, home checks etc etc & all also work in the veterinary industry. Our day jobs are demanding enough as it is & we all do our best to get back to you when we can
2. Just because you’ve applied it does NOT automatically mean you will be selected for that friend. Choosing their new homes is hard enough without people assuming it’s their right to that friend or that we haven’t carefully gone through each application individually. It doesn’t mean we wouldn’t rehome to you in the future, we are simply thinking about their needs & yours.
3. We don’t deliberately ‘ignore’ anyone! Sometimes emails don’t get to our inboxes or there are mistypes in email addresses or numbers! We need a few days to reply to everyone that contacts us but please don’t assume we’ve ignored you. If you haven’t heard from us within 3-4 days, simply ping us another email or call to check we’ve received your application form or enquiry
We are doing our best to help as many friends as we can during what really is a national crisis. Rescues are overflowing, more & more pets need safe spaces to go & there are less of them. For our small charity we currently have 11 dogs & 27 cats in. So please, just be nice & give us a little time 🙏🏻🩵
