We have the luxury of working one on one with each dog. It’s important to us that each dog has our undivided attention throughout the grooming session. There are some dogs who need a little rest, whether they are old, young, have health issues or just need some down time, we are happy to accommodate.
We groom at lot of cockapoo’s, cavapoo’s and labradoodles. They each have different coats, sometimes they are more wiry or straighter and less ‘poodle’ and some are very tight curls. Because they don’t moult as much as some other breeds they need a haircut much more regularly. If the coat is brushed daily at home, then the coat can be kept longer if the owner prefers. These two are always well looked after at home and brushed regularly.

Wiggle Wednesday! I might have just made that up. Even though it makes life difficult grooming dog’s when they are constantly moving around, who can resist a wiggly bottom and a waggy tail?
Is your dog shedding its coat around the house? We offer a de shedding treatment for short haired dogs. This helps to remove all the dead hair from the undercoat, making the coat look smoother and healthier. Please contact us for more details.
Our Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning treatment is only available in our Cranleigh Salon. We offer 30min sessions for £45. These photos show before and after just one session. We would always recommend checking with your vet if your dog has a huge build up of plaque, loose teeth or holes in the teeth. The ultrasonic teeth cleaning is great for preventative care, to help remove some build up of plaque, and removing stains. We would always recommend seeing if your dog is happy to have you hold a finger on a tooth for a few minutes before you book an appointment. The teeth cleaning is silent and doesn’t move or vibrate, so most dogs tolerate it well. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

We thought today we would share a before and after photo. This little one had a bath using a shampoo to enhance the white coat, fluff dried, then a haircut, nail clip and ear clean.
For short haired dogs we offer deshedding, where we strip the dead undercoat out. We also give them a shampoo bath, dry, nail clip and ear clean. Some extra spa treatments we offer are teeth cleaning gel (or ultrasonic in our Cranleigh Salon), facials, paw balm, specialist shampoos and mud baths. Please contact us for more details

Happy Monday! We are now being asked for summer haircuts, this would normally have started in March, but our weather hasn’t been very warm has it? We would recommend booking in your next couple of appointments through the coming summer months so you are not disappointed.

Oh look at that lovely face! We are so lucky to work with such fabulous dogs everyday. Not all dogs need hair cuts, some just need a trim or deshedding (taking out all the dead undercoat) We adapt each groom to the need of the dog and their owner. Please contact us if you would like some advice regarding your dog’s coat.
Tongue out Tuesday! We groom lots of spaniels… cockers, working, springers, cavalier King Charles, clumber, American, Welsh, Sussex, and a few others too. They tend to get matted areas around their ears, feet, feathers and tummy area. Their coats tend not to be high maintenance and can be easily maintained at home between professional grooms. Areas to keep an eye on would be, in and around the ears and feet, especially between the toes as they can get grass seeds etc caught.

We now offer an online booking service in our Cranleigh Salon. If you would like to make an appointment but it’s outside our working hours, please feel free to check out our online service. You will receive a confirmation email once the appointment has been secured and the £20 deposit has been taken. You can still book in person, my email or by phoning us, whichever is easier for you.

We wanted to share with you, a few of the doggies who came in the salon this week for their spa treatments. We are so lucky to spend our days looking after each of these special dogs. We offer one on one treatments, from full grooms, bath and deshedding, mud baths, facial spas, nail clips, specialist shampoos, ear cleaning, teeth gel, paw balm, ultrasonic teeth cleaning and so much more. Each dog has its own private resting area (not cages) and they are monitored throughout. Our groomers are professional, fully qualified and have previously worked at Merrist Wood teaching dog grooming to many grooming students. Pop in to meet Gail and Ava and have a chat about your dogs needs.

Tongue out Tuesday! How does your dog’s breath smell? When we are working closely with the dogs we are aware when their breath is bad. We can check their teeth too. Our Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning service helps to freshen their breath. Often it’s just a build up of plaque which can cause the bad smell. Obviously if the teeth are bad or need removing they should go to their vets for treatment. Our clients often say how much better their dogs breath is after the Ultrasonic Teeth Clean.
