We might think we smell great, but it might be harmful to our birds.

Most birds use their sense of smell to identify food or plants and do in fact have a great sense of smell. However, their respiratory tracts are super sensitive to chemical smells such as petrol, pesticides and perfume and may make them sick.

Guinea Pig whiskers are an important sensory tool for not only figuring out the size of objects but the distance of spaces and to protect their eyes.

What's pretty cool though is that they also use them to interact with other guinea pigs - like a secret guinea pig code! Between the whiskers, squeaks and grunts, they're pretty chatty!

Today is World Environment Day and this years focus is on the huge issue our planet is facing: plastic.

The is looking to find solutions for the immense amount of plastic we have - plastic and especially microplastics are in our water, air and our bodies.

As a planet we need to look towards a circular economy - lets rethink, reuse and recycle whenever we can ♻️
