As the weather gets colder and wetter, here are a few things to look out for to keep your furry friends happy and healthy this autumn! 🧡
🍁 MATTS & TANGLES: Damp coats can knot easily! Brush regularly and use a comb to check right down through the coat, especially behind the ears, under the legs and around the tail.
🌧️ WET COATS & ITCHY SKIN: Always dry your dog thoroughly after rainy walks. Look out for redness, persistent scratching, sore patches or unusual smells.
🐾 PAWS & NAILS: Check between the toes for mud, leaves and debris, and keep an eye on overgrown nails and sore paw pads.
🍂 AUTUMN DEBRIS: Seeds, twigs and burrs can get caught in your dog’s coat, so give them a quick check after walks!
