🚨 CRITICAL HEAT ALERT: ALL WALKS CANCELLED TODAY 🚨
Hi Karl's K9 Family,
As this intense summer heatwave continues to escalate, the conditions have officially reached extreme, dangerous levels today. Because the safety and welfare of your dogs will always be my absolute top priority, ALL scheduled walks and visits for today are officially cancelled. 🐾☀️
As much as I love seeing your pups, conditions out there are just too severe. Here is why we are grounding all paws today:
Critical Heatstroke Risk: In this level of extreme heat, dogs cannot cool themselves down efficiently, putting them at immediate risk for heatstroke.
Severe Paw Burns: The pavement and asphalt are hot enough today to instantly blister and burn their sensitive paw pads.
Travel Danger: Getting dogs safely to and from walks is no longer possible without exposing them to dangerous temperatures.
🏡 What you can do to keep them safe at home:
Please ensure your blinds are drawn, the AC or fans are running, and leave out extra bowls of fresh water for your fur babies.

☀️ Splish, Splash & Brain Games! 🐾

It was a beautiful, very warm day today, which meant keeping our furry friends cool and comfortable was top priority! For today's drop in visit with the handsome duo, Bubba and Milo, their thoughtful owners requested we set up their little blue pool. 🌊
We turned it into a fun, low energy mental workout to work their minds without overexerting them in the heat!
🧠 Staying Cool the Smart Way:
Paddling Pool Fun: Perfect for dipping those paws and staying refreshed.
Treat Bobbing: We dropped some tasty treats into the water, encouraging them to focus and use their minds to "fish" them out.
Short & Sweet: Keeping garden activities brief to ensure they didn’t get overheated.
Bubba and Milo absolutely loved their sunny garden activities! It’s the perfect way to keep our flat faced friends safely stimulated, hydrated, and happy when the temperatures climb. ❤️

‼️ HOT WEATHER ALERT: SCHEDULE CHANGES‼️

As we face this intense summer heatwave, the safety and welfare of your dogs must come first. 🐾☀️
Walking dogs in these extreme temperatures poses a massive risk of heatstroke and burnt paws on hot pavement. Because of this, I am making the following adjustments to our schedule this week:
🏡 Drop In Visits Instead of Walks: For most dogs, I will be switching our usual outdoor walks to indoor drop in visits. I'll make sure they get a quick toilet break, fresh water, plenty of love, and some gentle indoor mental stimulation to keep them occupied without overheating.
❌ Cancellations: In some cases, for the absolute safety of the dog (especially flat faced breeds, senior dogs, or those with thick coats), I may need to cancel visits entirely.
Please ensure your home is as cool as possible for them, and leave out extra water bowls!
I will be reaching out to everyone individually today to confirm the specific plan for your pooch. Thank you so much for your understanding and for helping me keep your furry family members safe! ❤️🐾

Unfortunately, due to some unexpected car issues, I’ve had to cancel today's appointments. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone for being so understanding and accommodating on such short notice!
