Dear clients
Hope everyone is having a good holiday. Here at Ross rabbit services and boarding we have 16 bunnies.
6 going home later today and 8 coming in over the weekend
July and August is our busiest time
We try and take as many photos as possible during the day not only to let the owner know how their bunnies are doing but also as evidence to check health and behaviour of each bunny as the days can be extremely full on
The last 24 hours as been a reminder on the importance of preventative EC treatment before anticipated stress like travel, grooming and boarding.
A very large percentage of rabbits are positive carriers but the parasite can lay dormant for years or become active when immune system challanged
Please read admission form carefully and any questions you have on cocci, worms or EC and infection control please do message me.
Please also bring p**p samples as efficiency of digestion and motility is essential to cope with boarding however much love and space and good diet I provide
Today I’ve been at vets all morning
Was up all night long
I have a cashmere bunny to finish clipping and grooming,
6 new rabbits to health Check and groom.
6 bunnies going home to health check and about 5-6 accommodations to clean and disinfect
My phone and charger are being temperamental
all bunnies on meds have been cared for
Now I need to groom cashmere and begin list of cleaning and health checks
Thank you for your patience
If your bunny is 2.5kg and above you can buy rabbit panacur on line
If your bunny is under 2.5kg you will need to ask your vet for some.
If you say your bunny will be travelling / boarding and you wish to give them a 9 day protection course this is valid and justified and does not require a consultation or consultation fee
I can give panacur whilst bunny is with me but I’m in process of asking vet why it is recommended and works best if given before boarding commences .
I’m assuming the drug boosts the body with the drug that kills the parasite. However the drug does start working on day one, properly by day 4 eg an actively shedding bunny will no longer shed spores putting other bunnies at risk so i can give whilst boarding if owner hasn’t had time to do before hand
Kind regards Caroline
