Goatacre Animal Sanctuary We are a small Sanctuary, rescuing animals and giving them a safe, forever home.

Goatacre farm offers children and their families early learning experiences in our unique village setting. We endeavour to encourage and inspire children to learn and flourish through play and exploration. Sensory areas, role play, arts and crafts, team building and messy play are just some of the exciting activities that will be on offer, not forgetting meeting our friendly animals who are always waiting for a cuddle!!

Who wants to Win a Pig?! 🐷

Ok, not a real one perhaps , but Michelle our very talented volunteer crochets 🧶 some amazing items for Kindness in Calne and has donated these super cute guys to help fundraising. One large new pig and one little pig in blanket (as a vegan Sanctuary the only type you will find here at Christmas 🎄…).

In the photo below there is 120kg of food bags in two wheelbarrows and we go through this within a fortnight, so about £200 a month, not to mention the pallets of hay and straw, and bags of graze-on and conditioning fibre.

If you also comment below we can thank you, and we will randomly pick a couple of winners on Sunday 14th Dec and if you are lucky, post you a pig 🐖!

🙏❤️ A Huge THANK YOU ❤️🙏 to the lovely people and supporters of ‘Fundraising for UK Animal Rescues’ as we were recently chosen to be the recipient of their Christmas Raffle.

They raised an amazing £400 for the sanctuary residents which will really help our increasing winter bills.💵

The Fundraising group raises money for many different not-for-profit animal rescues through online auctions and raffles so do consider joining if you would like to help x

Movement for Good is giving away £1 million this year to charities , and we are in the draw for a £1k donation (which is about how much it costs us to run the sanctuary each month 🐐❤️).

Did you know Pigs are great at football ?
Here is Kip demonstrating his excellent dribbling skills 😆.

Our ‘big pigs’ Kip, Elvis and Mary spend time in the winter in their yard (with very warm bed) as the paddocks become very muddy and need resting.

To keep them amused and enrich their day we can give them their pignut in these feed balls which they love.

If you would like to support the residents this week while you are Black Friday shopping online 😀, we do have an Amazon wish list and any of the food items , salt licks, washable puppy pads etc we would be very very grateful for as feed costs always rise in the winter when the animals need to stay in 🥶 ☃️! He probably thinks he’s the Greatest of All Time, but the other goats may disagree!

We are often looking for early morning volunteers ( 6.30- 7 am ish! ) to help us with daily care of the animals, so if this sounds like it could be you, you don’t mind 💩 and you are over 18, and can offer a weekly 2 hour morning shift please direct message us to find out more .

We appreciate not everyone can volunteer, but even liking and sharing our page can help ❤️❤️.
