Thinking of Karen Pryor who sadly passed away on 4/1/25.

Karen Pryor, a true pioneer and catalyst for change and progression in the world of animal training and behaviour, and her vision and dedication to positive reinforcement training. Her methods have shaped not only how we train dogs, but also how we understand and communicate with animals as a whole.

Author of Don’t Shoot The Dog and founder of Clicker Training, Karen’s methods have left a lasting legacy with everyone she inspired including myself.

The passion and wisdom she instilled will continue to influence the world for years to come.

Rest in peace Karen Pryor ❤️Always remembered with gratitude.

Finding what your dog loves the most and implementing that only with training, will see you get the results that you want. So that could be food, it could be a favourite toy for example 👍

I often hear “my dog isn’t into food or treats”, so I ask what does your dog like. Your dog may prefer a toy, scentwork or something else that will support your training together 💡

If your dog does like treats then I would add to this Infograph to ALWAYS use a treat or whatever your dog loves when asking for a Recall, regardless of even if they are 100% reliable at Recall 💯

This Infograph is great alongside consideration of the use of a marker word and timing of treats 😀

Have fun 🤩 and remember it’s not a race so enjoy the journey 🐾🐾

☠🎄☠Did you know that many festive plants can be toxic?☠🎄☠

Think about the plants used in your festive wreaths, any natural decorations, gifts you might receive, and of course, your Christmas tree!

This is not an exhaustive list, so be sure to research any plant before allowing it to be within reach of your pets!

List Includes:
Mistletoe
Amaryllis
Poinsettia
Holly
Ivy
Real Christmas Trees
Faux Frost on Trees

Even if you feel your pets don't normally have an inquisitive nibble of plants, because these are particularly novel this time of year, we would not take any risks!
