Paula has trained guide dogs for 28 years and has successfully competed in agility, rally obedience, hoopers and heelwork to music with a variety of breeds. Our aim is for our dogs and handlers to have lots of fun and learn new skills whilst deepening the bond between dog and owner. Paula has been involved in training dogs and their owners for over 30 years. Paula owns an elderly crossbreed who

she competed in agility with and he worked at G5 in kennel club competitions. Paula is a registered judge of heel work to music and worked a Standard Poodle at Intermediate level. Paula also competed in Rally competitions, and her dog Bailey whizzed up to level 5 and qualified excellent at all the previous levels. Just before his retirement Paula and Bailey found the world of hoopers, which opened up another brilliant sport for dogs to them. Paula is a qualified CHUK instructor and a Platinum Hoopers UK instructor. Lucy came to Paula's classes at only 11 yeas old with her Springer Spaniel Floss. Lucy's natural ability and caring attitude shone from the beginning and within a few years Lucy was assisting Paula with the classes. Now Lucy is an instructor in her own right and was the youngest ever CHUK instructor to qualify and then topped this off a year later by becoming the youngest ever advanced CHUK (Canine Hoopers Uk ) instructor. Lucy currently works Zoe a Working Cocker Spaniel and they had just made their agility competition debut when lockdown hit, so they re raring to get back to competitions. They have competed in one hoopers competition - the Tri Score tornament were the Agility Antics Loopy Hoopers team gained 9th place in their first ever outing with a team member down( as Bailey, Paulas's dog had to retire just a few weeks before), but the team still smashed 9th place. Our other members were Erin and Lexie and Ella and Gizmo ,2 of our hoopers class members.

A lovely run by Tommy the other week. I don't know why I didn't film anyone else :) . The curved Agility tunnel is not a hoopers tunnel but the class was all Agility trained dogs, so we put it in as a bit of fun for them.

Would you like to ' have a go' at hoopers and have your dogs as happily tired as Brody and Gibson are after class?? If you like the have a go, you can join our weekly classes and work towards gaining rosettes like Cooper. I'm taking bookings for a ' have a go' session Sunday 26th April 11.30 - 12.30. Hoopers is a low impact sport so suitable for dogs of all ages , it is taught using shaping allowing your dogs to work out what is required, with tasty treats for correct decisions. Dogs really enjoy this method of training and it tires them out mentally as well as physically. £20 for the session. Qualified, supportive instructor. Friendly classes. Kate Sykes , Debbie Pendlebury . Any questions or to book on, comment below or message me. Thanks Paula

My phone stopped playing during our heelwork to music class so we started singing. Can't think why Collette and Dylan were distracted :) :)
