Meet Ginny, this adorable girl used to be terrified of the vets. She’s been coming for regular socialisation visits with our wonderful nurses and is now much more happier on her visits!

Most of you know Hannah our amazing RVN, but here are a few fun facts about her....

- She LOVES black labs. Her own bestest boy black lab is Louie.
- She is a superstar RVN with an amazing allround skillset. But she lectures in consulting skills, helping RVNs from across the country improve what they do in a consult room
- She lives endocrinology and often runs our diabetic clinics
- She has questionable taste in hobbies as she loves crossfit.
💞🥳😍- SHE IS GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!!!!!! 😍 🥳💞

Whilst a large chunk of the practice will be having a right good 'ol knees up celebrating her wedding, the team of Lottie, Izzy, Laura, Keira, Keighley, Lily & Becky are manning the fort to be able to make sure your pets get the best care 24/7

We are so grateful for the guys who are working, and the rest of us not only raise a glass to Hannah and Harry, but all our working team hero's.

Charlie came to see us this week on the van for his vaccines. He bought his emotional support blanket even in the heat!

Personally a blanket has not been snuggled into in my house this week. I've done a lot of complaining "it's too hot" and kicking the duvet around. However, if a blankie makes Charlie feel better then he is absolutely welcome to bring it!

We do everything we can to make coming to the vets as easy breezy as possible. So if your pet needs to bring a toy, a friend, or be seen outside, we are always super happy to accommodate!

On call this weekend, forever keeping their cool is the super team of Jenny, Abi, Lily, Michelle, Rosey and Rose!

This weekend's a-GLAZE-ing line up is a combination of Sophie, Jess I, Lily, Ayla, Nat, Katie and Anna.

❤️ Could your pet become a lifesaver? ❤️

Thankfully it’s not an everyday occurrence but sometimes the wonderful beings we share our lives with require blood transfusions to help save their lives.

We are looking to create a donor list of dogs that we can if needed, call on to donate blood.

The requirements to become a blood donor are quite stringent so sadly not all dogs will be able to join the list.

But if you have a dog who is:

🐾fit and healthy
🐾Between the ages 1-8yrs old
🐾25kg or more
🐾Well behaved with a lovely temperament
🐾Never travelled outside the UK and Ireland 🐾Annual vaccinations up to date
🐾Not on any medications

Then they may be eligible to join the list.

If you have a dog that fits the bill and you’d like to sign them up then please call us to book an appt with Maia or Rochelle, our wonderful RVNs heading up the list. The appt will involve a health check, questionnaire, a blood sample to determine blood type and lots of treats and is free of charge.

For now we are just collating a list of dog blood donors as they are the most frequent recipients of blood products and can also donate to cats in one off emergency situations - a process that my own cat Gary owes his life to! In time we may look to create a cat donor list as well.

🥳🥳🥳🥳 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR VERY OWN TASH 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 OFFICIALLY A REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE 🥳🥳🥳🥳

So pleased to announce that Tash has officially passed all her exams and is on the register! After slogging away, doing gruelling examinations, a million bits of coursework and assessments, she has flown through it all.

She joined us in 2020 as an animal nursing assistant, and to see her flourish into the absolutely amazing woman she is today has been a true pleasure. She is truly exceptional - calm in a crisis, always a team player, so so patient with her patient's and it is a true honor to work alongside her.

So raise a glass to Natasha Johnston RVN. An absolute flame headed hero.
