🐾 A happy update for Rocko! 💙
Meet Rocko, a gorgeous Beagle who recently visited us with a persistent infection affecting one of his toes.
Despite treatment, the cause of the problem remained unclear. After X-rays and a thorough assessment, our veterinary team recommended surgically removing the affected toe to relieve his discomfort and allow us to investigate the underlying cause.
As tumours can sometimes present in this way, the amputated digit was sent to a specialist laboratory for histology (microscopic examination) to determine exactly what was going on.
We're delighted to share that the results showed no signs of cancer and no evidence of a deep infection – fantastic news for both Rocko and his owners! 🎉
Most importantly, Rocko has made a brilliant recovery, and his owners tell us he's like a new dog again! 🐶❤️
