Sasha's Dog Grooming

Sasha's Dog Grooming We offer a one-to-one dog grooming service in a friendly, caring and calm home environment. I am fully insured and have a canine first aid certificate.

After having worked in HR for 18 years, I decided to embark on a career change in my later life. I have had my own dogs for more than 20 years but dog grooming never really occurred to me until a friend suggested it. I did my City & Guilds training at Plumpton College in 2017 and started grooming at home on a part time basis in November 2017. I have also completed the iPet Network Level 3 Diploma

in Dog Grooming and Salon Management in August 2021. If you are interested in my services I welcome enquiries with no obligation.

This is Nikita, a beautiful Goldendoodle girl who was taken suddenly and tragically, far too soon ๐Ÿ’—
I created her portrait almost entirely in her own hair, just adding a small amount of fibre to help create length and texture.
Sending love and hugs to her humans, I hope this portrait will bring them some comfort and help keep her memory alive

As the leaves turn and autumn walks begin, itโ€™s important to remember that conkers can be dangerous for dogs. These shiny seeds contain a toxin called aesculin, found in all parts of the horse chestnut tree โ€“ seeds, bark, leaves and flowers. If eaten, aesculin can upset your dogโ€™s stomach, causing vomiting, diarrhoea, drooling, or loss of appetite โš ๏ธ

Conkers can also be a choking hazard or cause an obstruction in the stomach.

๐Ÿ‘‰ If you think your dog has eaten a conker, or is showing any concerning signs, always contact your vet for advice.

๐Ÿ“ข Share this with your fellow dog lovers to help keep every four-legged friend safe on their autumn adventures.

๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿถ Autumn is here โ€“ which means conkers are scattered all over our local parks and woodland walks. While they might look harmless, conkers can actually be toxic to dogs.

At Heath Vets, we want to remind our lovely clients that conkers contain a chemical called aesculin, which can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, drooling, and even more serious illness if eaten. Even chewing on them can be risky.

๐Ÿ‘‰ If youโ€™re out enjoying an autumn stroll with your dog, please keep a close eye on them and make sure they donโ€™t pick up any conkers. If youโ€™re ever worried, call us right away for advice.

Letโ€™s keep tails wagging safely this season! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ
