We rescue and re-home rabbits in Bristol, UK. Please check this page and our website for animals that need new homes. Please consider adopting rather than buying from a shop or breeder. The rescue is based in Patchway, Bristol and we have many foster carers who look after the rabbits in their own homes. This means that our bunnies are socialised, correctly sexed, checked for illnesses and assessed for behaviour and habits. Every time a pet is fostered, another animal in need can take its place. We also offer a bonding service and provide grooming days with all profits going back into the rescue. Tiramisu's spay went really well, but she didn't fancy eating any of her treats at first...

It's that time of year again! 🎇😓 Here are our top tips for helping bunnies cope with fireworks:

If there are a lot of loud bangs going off in your area and your rabbits are getting stressed outdoors, you may want to bring your bunnies inside just for a little while.
If you do need to bring them in for protection, make sure they have plenty of places to hide, and make sure the room they are in is not too hot.
Outdoor bunnies will have started growing their winter coat, so a hot house may be too much for them to tolerate.

Other tips for de-stressing and blocking out noise:
🔸Add extra insulation to your bunnies' enclosure
🔸Use anti-stress products like Pet Remedy
🔸Sit with your bunnies and play with them to distract them
🔸Keep the curtains closed and the TV on to block the sound out a little more.
Radio stations like Classic FM are great for playing calming music and blocking our scary noises.

Having a bunny friend to cuddle up to and provide moral support is also extra important at this time of year. Lone bunnies are much more likely to become stressed and panicked.

As Halloween is coming up this weekend, here's your reminder not to dress up your bunnies! 🐇🕸️

Dressing bunnies up can cause a large amount of stress and discomfort, and it just isn't fair on them! It isn't natural for bunnies to wear clothes and they don't enjoy it.

Putting clothes on a rabbit is completely for your own benefit, the bunny gains nothing from it. Even if they just sit there and don't tell you they're stressed out, are they really enjoying it??

We believe bunnies are cute enough as it is without having to wear clothes.
