Our dog is a ball of energy that would knock people over when they walked through the door and would pull us relentlessly on walks. Now, we know how to calm him down, he focuses on us when we talk to him and sits in his bed and waits to be released before he can say hello to guests. Our walks are less dragging and more walking beside us and he has come a long way in a very short amount of time thanks to Wendy and her approach. We know we have to carry on with his training at home for it to be engrained but we are incredibly thankful for the help and support Wendy gave us when we felt like giving up.

Wendy has been training our Jack Russell puppy and it’s been brilliant. We’ve both learned such a lot and it’s been great fun to do. I’m so glad we started at his young age (10 weeks) too. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a puppy.

I have just completed 3 sessions with Wendy regarding my dog’s aggression to moving traffic. I found Wendy had a real understanding of dogs and my problem, and I am now walking along main roads with a dog that is focusing on me and not the traffic. Wendy has been a fantastic puppy trainer for us and our young cocker spaniel Sadie. Over the last few months, we have had a 5 week puppy training course and 3 one-on-one training sessions at home.

From the first one-on-one training session, which we had prior to our first puppy class, Wendy created a great bond with Sadie and got to know us and our routines. We could not believe how quickly Wendy managed to get Sadie to focus on her with a combination of clear techniques and natural treats that she absolutely loved! The first two one-on-one sessions really helped us to get key skills such as focus (“look” & “touch”), “leave it”, “sit/lay down & stay” and “boundary search” well-practiced in the household environment and ultimately helped us to accelerate Sadie’s development and improve behaviour around the home.

The puppy classes were fantastic and by doing the one-on-one training with Wendy first and getting Sadie and ourselves familiar with the techniques, we were able to focus on practicing with the distractions that the small group classes provided with the other puppies (all of which came so far over the 5 week classes).

After the puppy classes we had our final one-on-one session where we covered walking techniques and also some initial recall techniques. These have been really useful in improving Sadie’s behaviour outside of the home environment.

We really enjoyed learning from Wendy and it was clear how passionate she is and how much she cares about the puppies. Sadie was always very excited to see her and we really appreciate all of the help and advice from Wendy. Thank you and an easy 5 stars!!!
