📢 Following the spread of a new highly virulent strain of rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease (RVHD) across Europe, we are advising all clients to vaccinate their rabbits against this deadly disease with an additional vaccination.
💉 We are now offering a new vaccination to protect against this highly transmissable strain. The current yearly 'triple' vaccination does not cover this highly virulent strain of RVHD and so an additional vaccination is advised.
👩🏼⚕️We will be running a rabbit vaccination day on Saturday 25th July 2026. Due to the use of a multi-dose vial, vaccination slots on this day will be limited so call 01291625205 8:30am- 6:30pm Monday to friday to secure your appointment!
💉 The vaccination is available to all healthy rabbits over the age of 7 weeks. If your rabbit has recently recieved the 'triple' yeary vaccination then you must wait a period of at least 2 weeks before this additional vaccination can be given.
🐰The cost for the additional vaccination is £15.00 for pet health club members and £30.00 for non-members. To secure your slot payment will be taken at the time of booking. The vaccination is available to both new and existing clients and payment is non-refundable.
👩🏼⚕️Each appointment will include a rapid health check and vaccination. Staff members will be wearing protective equipment whilst handling all rabbit patients to prevent any cross contamination between animals. Consultation rooms will also be thoroughly disinfected between consultations.
📢It is very important that you do not attend these vaccination appointments if your rabbit is unwell, as this could result in illnesses being spread between patients.
🐰This strain of RHVD is highly transmissable and can affect both indoor and outdoor rabbits; it can be spread through direct contact between infected animals but also can be brought in on owners shoes or through contaminated objects.
