🚨 This is absolute madness. 🚨

Bristol City Council have decided to impose a 'license fee' on using any 'green space they manage' for business purposes.

💸 The cost? £450 per green space, per year.
Or a so-called “discount” of £900 to use all areas - To add insult in injury Dog Walkers are excluded from the discount!

For us:
🐾 We regularly walk dogs in at least 10 different areas and try to switch up which green spaces we use for client enrichment.
🐾 Both Catherine and I have our own walking clients and the 'licenses' are pet person not per business.
➡️ That’s thousands of pounds in fees - completely unaffordable and frankly ludicrous!

This isn’t just about us, it threatens the survival of countless local dog walkers and pet carers, and will hit pet owners across the city.

Sarah's been Luna and her brother Franks petsitter for every trip their owners have taken for almost 3 years. In all that time intensely shy girl Luna has never once shown her face. Until yesterday, the last day of the latest trip, when totally out of the blue Luna strides over with all the confidence in the world and gives us the face rub of approval 😻 Some cats just need time, space and gentle patience and we're always more than happy to provide that. The ultimate reward of their full trust in us is truly worth it 💕
