Tythegston Boarding Kennels We are a dog boarding kennels near Bridgend, South Wales. We accept any and all dogs regardless of behaviour or breed.

We are fully licensed and insured so you know they'll be well cared for ❤️

FAQS 2026
We accept all dogs at Tythegston Boarding Kennels, regardless of breed, temperament or neuter/spay status 🐕

Price:
£22 a night for 1 dog
£36 a night for 2 dogs (sharing)
£47 a night for 3 dogs (sharing - size dependent)
We charge a late checkout fee of £10 if you collect in the afternoon of your collection day

Opening times:
We are open 364 days of the year (only closed on Christmas Day)
Our opening times are 9-11am and 4-6pm

Vaccinations:
All dogs will need to be fully vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza (DHPP), Leptospirosis (L4/L2) and Kennel cough (KC)

What to pack:
* Vaccination card
* Any medication/supplements they need
* Blanket/item that smells like the home (the smellier the better!)
* Food (if on a special diet/sensitive to food changes)
* Any toys/treats they really love
* Whatever you think would make them feel more comfortable

During their stay:
They will have a walk in the morning and afternoon up and down the drive way and some time during the day in our compound (weather permitting). They will not interact with any other dogs in our care unless we have express permission from each owner (such as family or friends)

Food:
We have Harrington's Salmon and Potato kibble on site. You are more than welcome to bring your own food (especially if your pet has a sensitive stomach or a special diet). If you would like to bring wet food then we can mix it with the kibble

Kennel visit:
If you would like to come and visit us before your pets stay with us then please get in touch to book an appointment. We don't need to see everyone beige their stay with us but we may suggest this if your dog has shown signs of nervousness/aggression so we can arrange more kennel visits or short stays before their boarding stay

Hi everyone,
We didn't want to make this post but we have no choice as a small number of people have taken advantage of our kind nature.
We have had to chase multiple people up for payments and some are still outstanding.
Going forward, we will have to start taking deposits for new bookings due to people cancelling at short notice (sometimes on the day) or not turning up at all. This is unfair to other clients who we have to turn away, especially during busy periods.
Also, payment for your pets stay will have to be made before your pet is handed back due to having to chase for payment.
We are upset that we have to put these new procedures in place but unfortunately we are spending too much time chasing people which means we spend less time with your pets while they holiday with us.
We thank you for your understanding and your continued support 🐾🐾
