Now cruising into the old 3rd trimester and (judging by the number of people who have kindly and rightly reminded me that I should take early maternity leave if I need it) I think CurlyBaby is getting fairly obvious 😅 So from here on there are just a couple of tweaks I need to make to the way I work and bits of help I might need. Little bit long and boring, sorry.
I know everyone says pregnant women shouldn't be lifting anything, but actually if I'm standing properly and lifting like they show on the health & safety manuals then I'm fine. The risk comes from walking around carrying things with one arm, when I'm in danger of doing something wonky or tripping over. So the basic rules are
✅️Lifting things under 10kg
✅️Lifting things over 10kg
✅️Carrying things under 10kg
❌️Carrying things over 10kg
So for all you dinky 10kg dogs I can lift on/off the table and in/out the bath, but I'll use a neck strap to walk them around the house rather than carry them.
My table is about 10kg so I can carry that fine and do all setup as normal. My equipment case is much heavier - I can lift it in and out of the car, but if you have tricky driveways / steppy thresholds / houses with lots of gates or steps where I can't wheel the case through and need to lift it, I'd appreciate a hand, or I'll move things in 2 separate trips.
That's it! Thank you all for your offers of help - 5 more working weeks to go (yes I'm excited for the time off 😂)🏋♀️ 🐩❤️
