First consultation to address some dominance behaviours in the home and reactivity to dogs outside as Lennie has been attacked twice through no fault of his own 😔

During our first session we also got to work on teaching my client and Lennie handling at heel building up his engagement and trust, before we start to slowly expose Lennie to different role model dogs and environments.

Don’t get ripped off by positive only trainers that I are not even prepared to meet your dog, or even handle them on a lead.

It’s happening way to often that I will go into a house and I hear of this happening with the client sometimes spending hundreds of pounds only to be left with some instructions 😮

This goes for vet referral behaviourists that don’t even come to your house and arrange online consultations 😮

Qualifications do not mean that a behaviourist has the skill set or experience to modify your dogs unwanted behaviours

Look at reviews, ask for videos demonstrating that the trainer has worked with and changed the behaviours of dogs

This dog has displayed some very unwanted and at times dangerous behaviours to its owners. He displayed very dominant threshold behaviour 60 mins prior to me videoing this clip

A dog that is behaving in a controlling or “dominant” manner may use manipulative behaviors, such as acting pitiful or sad, to get what they want from their owners… I am working with 5 clients presently that are living with very similar behaviours.

Please remember dogs are highly intelligent, social creatures capable of learning that specific behaviors—even fake ones—lead to desired outcomes like food, attention, or comfort.
