This spring, we have been delighted to have a robin's nest at the crematorium, bringing a little extra comfort and beauty to our surroundings.

Robins are among the first birds to greet the day, filling the air with their song as part of the dawn chorus. Many families have shared with us how special robins feel to them, often reminding them of a loved one who has passed away.

In folklore, robins have long been associated with remembrance and the afterlife. The well-known saying, "Robins appear when loved ones are near," reflects the comforting belief that a robin's visit may be a gentle sign from someone we hold dear.

Whether folklore or simply a welcome visitor, we like to think there is something truly special about seeing a robin when we need it most. ❤️

Did you know we are not only stockists for pet ashes jewellery, but we can also help with memorial jewellery for human loved ones too! 🤍

We work closely with two trusted jewellery suppliers, offering a beautiful range of rings, necklaces, and keepsakes designed to hold ashes close to your heart forever.

Recently, we welcomed two wonderful ladies - mum and daughter - for a private appointment to choose some special pieces together. We explored different jewellery options, discussed meaningful engraving ideas, and even talked about adding diamond dust for an extra sparkle ✨

We spent a lovely afternoon sharing stories, remembering treasured moments, and enjoying a cup of tea together. Our appointments are never rushed, giving families the time and privacy they deserve.

Saturdays at the crematorium are often much quieter, offering a more peaceful and private setting for those who may feel more comfortable visiting then.

We are here for both animal and human loved ones, so please share with people who may be needing support, or help with special keepsakes.

Appointments are by arrangement only, so please give us a call for more information about this special service. 🕊️

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Kirsten, who has joined our team at the crematorium 💙

Kirsten works Monday to Friday, supporting the care of all the precious animals who come to us. She will be assisting with enquiries at the crematorium and helping to care for pets as they are gently supported on their final journey.

Once she has settled in, Kirsten will also be assisting with High Peak phone enquiries and bookings.

She is very much looking forward to meeting you all and offering kind, compassionate support to both you and your beloved pets.

Recently, Vet John and Catherine’s son, Matthew, has started working with them as part of his work experience placement. Matthew is in Year 10 and has been supporting the team both at the crematorium and during some veterinary visits.

He will also be assisting our website designer during his time with us, gaining experience across different areas of the business.

Matthew has been a great help, supporting staff with clay and ink paw prints at the crematorium and keeping the reception area stocked with cold drinks for clients visiting us.

We’ve really appreciated his hard work and positive attitude.

We are pleased to share that £75 has been donated to Blue Cross UK from our charity sales during March and April. They were incredibly grateful for the support. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped contribute - your kindness truly makes a difference.

For the next couple of months, we’ll be supporting Schnauzerfest, a wonderful grant-giving charity that helps rescues, fosterers, and adopters by covering veterinary bills for Schnauzer dogs in need. 🐾
