Due to our current apprentice finishing her course we are looking for an extra pair of hands to join our team!

🔷Role includes all general yard duties, bringing in, turning out and tacking up for lessons. We work as a team and all muck in together so sole charge is rare. There is riding available if wanted.

🔷Loads of training available for someone wanting to improve their skills and knowledge whether in riding or all other aspects of horse care.

🔷Accommodation is provided in the house with all meals included and livery for your own horse is available if wanted. We are regularly out training and competing and can potentially offer opportunities in these aspects if suitable.

4️⃣ weeks in 3️⃣ minutes! 😮‍💨

💥 Kicked off our summer season with 2 weeks at the David Broome Event Centre
💥 Quick turnaround and straight to 2 days at Sparsholt College providing horses for the Navy team at the RAF championships
💥 A couple of days at home to have the colts castrated and drop Bayjing to stud (her Chance foal is due any day 🤞🤞)
💥 Good Friday was spent at the Lambourn Open Day where our wonderful schoolmasters were part of a charity jockeys challenge.
💥 Quick regroup and last week saw us at Chard Equestrian for their first CSI of the year.

Extremely grateful to our amazing team who make it all possible, especially top grooms Ellen Newton and Tegan Pope for all your hard work and our amazing team of owners who trust us with their precious horses!

Highlights include:

🐎 Sophia Hendy’s Johnny A placing in practically every class inc 1.30m GP, Welsh Masters Ladies Final and two 2* 1.35m classes
🐎Tracy Scammell’s Tudor Lough also placing in many class in Wales inc the Ladies Final and stepping up to place in our first 2* 1.35m
🐎Bridget Ellison’s Tomboy excelled himself at both shows, particularly the CSI for a 🥇 & 🥈
🐎 Jane Greenham’s Larramy BR made the step up to 1.15m with confidence and is looking ready to really progress this season.
🐎 Jackie Walls’ Zsarmuse qualified for the 1.20m welsh masters final which was a big step up for him but he made light work of a big technical course for just an unlucky pole
🐎Tracy Scammell’s Cevinz Kezia was double clear every day in the 5yo qualifiers and jumped an easy clear in the final - a big ask for a horse that has only been jumping a few months!

🐎 Macho Boy T 8th fox, 10th (DC) 1.20m GP
🐎 Larramy BR DC newcomers, stepped up to 1.15m
🐎 Zsarmuse first stay away stepped up to fox with ease

We’ve had quite a quiet winter of shows as all the established horses’ end of season holiday ended up being rather extended due to lots of exciting improvements being made to the yard at home. However we’ve been working away with a lovely little batch bringing them up to speed ready for the season ahead.
Wednesday’s show saw 4 horses jump 5 classes with double clears all round

🥇 Kukevannie in the 1.10m (Julie Roche)
🥇 Tudor Lough in the foxhunter (Tracy Scammell)🎥

7yo mare by Voss. Beautiful stamp whos done a little bit of everything but in general been a bit wasted with us and needs someone to show her more of the world. Done a few months of BS where she won a couple of discoveries and was ready to step up. Arena cross country schooled inc water. Lovely ride on the flat inc lateral work and changes.
Good to do in all ways inc hack, catch, box, clip, shoe etc.
Would suit a confident, competent rider. Forward going and has a slight tendency to rush when she jumps. We think she would thrive and improve with more turnout and variety than we can offer her.

From one end of the spectrum to the other..!!
Final training session and indoor arena familiarisation for Sophia Hendy’s Johnny A before he heads to HOYS.

Then back and onto the 3yos for their 2nd time ridden and and first time solo, both such lovely girls to work with. We see the Atherton family’s Oso Bellagio and my own Vitaly Prinseveld DSC (Qornet van de Bisschop x Quintero ) 🤗 (with help from Bob 🐈 and Roger 🐕)

Perfect last show for Sophia Hendy’s Johnny A (Cevin Z) before HOYS - he jumps the Grace C final on Sunday morning.
🥈 in the 1.30/1.40m on Friday and 🥈 again on Sunday but this time from the 1.40m section (🎥) as the highest placed 1.40 horse, even in the torrential rain 💦 🙌
Never jumped him indoors but have every faith in his ability 🤞
