💛 Sox has come such a long way! 💛

WARNING - There are some graphic photographs of eyes contained within this post!**

After suffering damage to his eye, Sox’s initial prognosis was unfortunately quite poor (even with prompt treatment sought from his owner), and there were concerns that enucleation (eye removal surgery) may have been necessary.

Thanks to regular treatments, dedicated follow up care, and plenty of patience, Sox’s eye has healed with scar tissue formation and is now looking fantastic.
We are so proud of his progress and grateful to his family for their commitment to his ongoing care.

Stories like Sox’s remind us how important early treatment for eyes is. If you ever have a concern over your pets eyes, no matter how small you think it may be, always call us for advice and an urgent appointment! 💙

💚 May may be over, but our appreciation for veterinary nurses never is! 💚

From monitoring anaesthetics and comforting nervous patients, to recovery care, medications, surgical prep, cleaning, client support, and everything in between, vet nurses are the heartbeat of every clinic.

They advocate for patients who can’t speak, celebrate the wins, sit through the hard days, and somehow still find time for extra cuddles and reassurance. Veterinary medicine simply wouldn’t function without them.

Thank you to every Veterinary Nurse for your skill, compassion, patience, and dedication. Not just during VNAM, but every single day 🐾

With the weather set to be beautiful this bank holiday weekend, don't forget to check in on our furry pet friends!

🐾 Remember the 5 second rule before walking your dogs! If you are unable to place the back of your hand on the pavement for more than 5 seconds, it is too hot for your dog to walk on! 🐾

🤍 Light coloured pets are prone to sunburn! Always apply a pet safe suncream to those thin fur areas or pink skin such as nose, ear tips and belly area. 🤍

🐾 Dont risk it for one walk! Exercising in over 20 degrees can put your pet at a very high risk for heatstroke! 🐾

☀️ The conservatory can get up to twice as hot! Where possible prevent your pets from lying in the conservatory during the heat. ☀️

🌳 Check for your pets hiding from the heat in sheds and garages. To try and find a cool spot your cat may hide away in the open shed, but dont always find their way back out before you close it back up! Always double check before locking up!🌳
