Meet Rafi!
This handsome boy has been through quite the adventure but is now back to doing what he loves — enjoying his time in the garden with his tail wagging happily! 🐶

A few months ago, Rafi had a scary accident when he fell from a third-story window and broke his femur (thigh bone). His quick-thinking owners rushed him straight to Mojo Vets, whilst our team prepared for his arrival.

Once Rafi arrived, our vets took x-rays (pictured below) to confirm the injury and assess the break. Our Vets Mario and Adam stabilised him before taking him into surgery, where they carefully repaired the fracture by placing a metal plate along the broken bone — giving him the best chance for a smooth and strong recovery.

Fast forward eight weeks and Rafi is doing brilliantly! He’s loving his garden time again and follow-up x-rays have shown that the bone is healing beautifully. We’re so proud of this brave boy — way to go, Rafi! 🐾❤️

🐾 Meet Eddie! 🐾

This lovely pup came to us with a cherry eye, a condition that can be uncomfortable for our furry friends. But Eddie took it all in stride – in fact, he loved wearing his buster collar while he healed! 🐶💙

We're thrilled to share that after some care and attention, Eddie's eye has fully healed and he’s feeling better than ever, he's back to his happy, playful self! 🎉

A big thank you to Eddie’s wonderful owner and our amazing vet, Mario, for their dedication in helping Eddie on his road to recovery.

We’re so happy to see you thriving, Eddie! 🐕💚

*Notice to our clients*

Next week (beginning April 14th), things will be running a little differently at Mojo Vets. Due to some unexpected circumstances, both of our regular vets will be away or working reduced hours.

Vet Mario has recently been in hospital and, while he’s thankfully on the mend, he’ll be working shorter hours while he recovers. Vet Adam has had to return to Poland with his family for the week.

We know how important it is for you and your pets to see the same familiar faces – and this isn’t how we want or plan to run Mojo Vets. Continuity of care is at the heart of what we do, and we’re really grateful for your patience during this brief period.

We want to reassure you that we’ll still be open as usual. We’ll have a trusted locum vet on site at all times, and Mario will be here too – just with a reduced schedule.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support

🐾 Meet Jamaica, the cheeky girl who always keeps us on our toes! 🐶

Jamaica recently came in for surgery to remove a lump on her side that had been bothering her. We’re happy to report that the surgery went smoothly, and our lab results confirmed the lump was completely removed—no further treatment needed! 🙌

Of course, Jamaica being her mischievous self couldn’t resist causing a little trouble while she was here. During one of her visits, she sneakily made her way behind the reception desk and ran off with a bag of dog treats! 😅 Adam couldn’t resist her adorable face and decided to let her have a few treats. (See the picture of Jamaica enjoying her well-earned snack!)

We're so happy to see Jamaica recovering well and continuing to bring her fun-loving energy to Mojo Vets! Keep being your cheeky self, Jamaica! 💖

🌼🌿 Top 5 tips your pet this Spring 🌿🌸

Spring is here, and it’s time to make sure your pets are ready for the season! As the weather warms up, here are some Spring-specific tips to keep your furry friends happy and healthy:

Flea & Parasite Prevention – With more time spent outdoors, fleas and ticks are more active. Make sure your pets are up-to-date on prevention treatments. Please give us a call for more information

Allergy Alert – Pollen levels rise in spring, which can trigger allergies in pets. If your pet is itching or sneezing more than usual, it might be time for a vet check.

Toxic Plants Awareness – Spring brings a variety of beautiful flowers, but many are toxic to pets, including lilies, daffodils, and azaleas. Be mindful of where your pet roams, and give us a call immediately if you believe your pet may have ingested any of these.

Springtime Fun – Spring means more outdoor play! But be mindful of the increasing heat and ensure your pet stays hydrated while enjoying the sunshine.

Spring Grooming – With shedding season in full swing, regular brushing helps manage loose fur and prevents matts. When grooming your pet, it is always a good idea to check their skin for areas of dryness or irritation.

Let’s make this spring a season of health and happiness for your pets! 🌼🐾

Meet Flint, a handsome dog with a heart of gold who endured a long and painful battle with a persistent ear infection. For years, Flint’s ear infection refused to improve, no matter how many vets he saw or how many treatments he tried. Even after visiting a veterinary dermatologist specialist, the infection just wouldn't budge, leaving Flint in constant discomfort.

After exhausting all other options, Flint’s owners were faced with a tough decision: a procedure called TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation), which involved removing his ear canal entirely. It was a last resort, but the specialist assured them this was the best chance to finally eliminate Flint's pain and discomfort once and for all.

The procedure went well, and Flint recovered from the surgery and anaesthetic very well. Finally the infection that had plagued him for so long was finally gone, and so was the pain. Today, Flint is a much happier dog, and one of the most heartwarming changes is that he now lets people touch his ear without a single cry of discomfort—something that wasn’t possible for a long time.

Flint’s journey is a reminder that sometimes, the road to recovery isn’t easy, but with the right care and support, even the toughest challenges can be overcome. We're so thrilled to see Flint thriving again and living his best life, free from pain 💙

🐾 Meet Lola, a brave senior pup who recently came to Mojo Vets with a tough diagnosis – pyometra (an infected uterus)

With her age and her also suffering from a collapsing trachea, Lola was considered a high-risk patient for surgery. But thanks to the expertise and dedication of our vet, Adam, and nurse, Jenny, Lola pulled through beautifully! 🙌

We’re thrilled to share that her surgery and anaesthetic went smoothly, and Lola is now recovering well! 💖 It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do – to help our furry friends live their best lives, no matter their age or challenges. 🐕✨

Big thank you to Lola’s family for trusting us with her care, we are thrilled to see how well she has recovered 😀
