but home stay pet sitting services, as well as dog training. At Outward-Hound, training is not just about training your dog to โ€˜stayโ€™ (although we do teach that!), I am passionate about helping owners get the best from their dog. The classes are fun and informative, including essential life skills. You have the option to take part in the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme as well as the APDT Good Companion awards. I also offer live online classes, including micro-courses to help with things such as recall and walking nicely on the lead.

When we head out for a walk, itโ€™s easy to think the goal is simply distance or exercise.

But for dogs, sniffing is a big part of how they explore the world.

Stopping to investigate a scent gives your dog information about who has been there before them and what has been happening in the environment.

Allowing time for sniffing can make a walk far more enriching for your dog than simply covering miles.

Sometimes the most satisfying walks are the slower ones.
