Well, that escalated quickly! 🌧️🌩️

What started as a lovely evening 🌤️ at the dog field yesterday, doing a wee bit of strimming and grass cutting ☘️🌱, soon turned into a sudden deluge 💦💦💦, as you'll see in the video!

Rusty 🐕 and I were incredibly grateful for the shelter of the shed . We kept thinking we'd wait for the rain to ease off a bit before making a dash for it... but that never actually happened! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

The rain came down hard and fast, leaving so much surface water and washing loose gravel, mud and debris onto some of the surrounding roads 😱.

If you're visiting us over the next few days, please take extra care when travelling to and from the field. Some roads in the area may still have gravel and other washed out material on them, particularly around bends and road edges.

The field itself is holding up well, but we'd appreciate everyone driving cautiously and allowing a little extra time for their journey.

In our experience, Labradors and Retrievers as very often named after features on an Ordnance Survey map 🗺️
Maybe because they become such a huge part of their humans lives they need names to reflect that, like these 3 golden beauties 💛
🌊 River – always flowing with energy and ready for the next splash
⛰️ Nevis – standing tall and conquering every platform like it’s a Munro
✨ Corrie – a perfect hidden gem of a pup, full of spirit
If you’ve got your own River, Nevis, Corrie… or maybe a Skye, Moss, Fern, Jura or Rowan… and they need a safe private space to run, sniff, shout about their feelings and generally live their best life, the field’s open and the views are doing their thing 🌄
Whether your dog is named after a loch, hill or glen, they all deserve a place to run wild and free 🐕

🐾🐾🐾There’s something special about life in a multi dog household, it’s joyful, can be a little chaotic, and definitely full of very different personalities 🐾🐾🐾

One wants to sprint, one wants to sniff, and one… just wants to nap in the fresh air, completely unbothered as demonstrated beautifully by one of our furry friends from a multi dog household 😄. Just chilling enjoying the spring sunshine ☀️ like there wasn’t even any of their house mates (of which there are a few) bobbing about nearby 😴😆.

That’s exactly why spaces like Gamrie Dog Field matter so much. Safe, secure fields give every dog the freedom to do their own thing, at their own pace, no pressure, no distractions, just pure dog happiness.

I’m reaching out to my wonderful community for support during a difficult time. One of my customers is currently dealing with a sudden health crisis and needs some immediate help with her two dogs.

She would be incredibly grateful for anyone who might be able to:🐾 Pop in to feed them🐾 Let them out for the toilet🐾 Spend a little time with them

If you’re able to help a bit more, I’m also offering free sessions at my dog field for anyone willing to take her dogs there for a proper walk and exercise.

This is a temporary situation, and any support—even small—would mean the world while she gets back on her feet.

❄️🥶 Gamrie Dog Field today 13/02/26. Full Narnia, snow everywhere. Sensible humans questioning their life choices 🥶❄️

And then there’s my Rhodesian Ridgeback… absolutely loving life 🤍🤎.

Who’s going to tell him he’s an African Lion Dog and not a limited edition “Scottish Snow Hound”? He’s out here performing Olympic-level snow zoomies like he was born in a blizzard 🌨️⛄️.

Historically bred to hunt lions 🦁, currently hunting snowballs 😂.

I’m layered up like I’m summiting Everest, and he’s doing power slides, face-first snow dives and enjoying every minute 😁.

Huge shout out to all you absolute legends who’ve visited the field since the New Year 🐾🌪️

You’ve braved the relentless wind, the pouring rain… and the mud. Oh the mud 😱😅 and you still turned up with happy, waggy dogs!

Yesterday we saw the sun ☀️ for a while and today we’ve upgraded to sun ☀️ and the white stuff ❄️😱. From mud zoomies to snow sprints — we really are covering all seasons!
