🍀 Clover was searching for good luck but found grass seeds instead! 🍀
This sweet girl came in to see us today as she was shaking her ears excessively. On examination, we found two grass seeds hiding in her ear canal and safely removed them under sedation.
🌾 Grass seeds may be small, but they can cause big problems. Their sharp shape allows them to work their way into ears, paws, eyes, and even under the skin, leading to pain, irritation, infection, and sometimes surgery.
🐾 Signs to watch for:
• Head shaking
• Scratching at the ears
• Sudden signs of discomfort
• Excessive licking of paws
• Redness or swelling
After walks, especially through long grass, it’s always worth giving your pet a quick check over.
Thankfully, Clover is now feeling much more comfortable and can get back to looking for the right kind of luck! 💚🍀
