What is Tartar?
Bacteria live in the oral cavity of our dogs and thrive on the tooth surfaces. For their own protection, the bacteria create a structure known as plaque.

If this plaque is not removed regularly, minerals from the saliva are deposited and harden: our dog accumulates tartar.

You must not underestimate the enormous negative implications for tartar on your dog's teeth!

Tartar is a major cause of periodontitis. In addition, it not only affects your dog's mouth, but also threatens his overall health.

Tartar can lead to inflammation in the mouth, which...

• ...cause the dog's teeth to rot and fall out.
• ...which can lead to serious diseases of the heart, liver and lungs.
• ...promote the development of tumors in the oral mucosa.
• ...weaken the entire immune system.
• ...torture your dog while he's eating because he's in a lot of pain.
• ...affect digestion as your dog cannot chew and pre-digest his food properly.

In addition, such inflammations are the cause of a foul stench in the mouth. Tartar is an aesthetic problem; and untreated tartar can shorten a dog's life.

Please, do not underestimate the risks of tartar!
