Saxmundham and North East Integrated Neighbourhood Team would like to introduce you to the new Stay Well Information and Support Hub (SWISH).

SWISH is a new initiative, based within Aldeburgh Community Suite at Aldeburgh Hospital, that aims to bring a range of services that support healthy living in later life closer to residents. The FREE events will happen monthly, with the first event taking place on Tuesday 22nd April from 10am-2pm.

Residents will be able to drop in for free refreshments and information about supporting their wellbeing, keeping active, money matters, community activities and more. For the April event there will also be a Slipper Swap where people can bring their old slippers, exchange for a new pair, whilst getting advice from an occupational therapy and physiotherapy team. There will also be FREE transport provided for residents for the first two events in April and May by us! 01728 830516

๐Ÿš— Did you know?

CATS community drivers:
โœ”๏ธ Help people get to health appointments.
โœ”๏ธ Provide lifts to social events and shops.
โœ”๏ธ Give independence to those without transport.

And the best part? Itโ€™s completely flexible - YOU choose when and where you drive!

๐Ÿ“ Right now, more volunteer drivers are needed, especially in Framlingham, Wickham Market and surrounding villages.

We had the pleasure of showing Jenny Riddell-Carpenter MP around the Cats office last week. We showed Jenny what we do as a local organisation that operates all over her constituency and beyond, with our bus & car services and the urgent need for more volunteer car drivers. We have seen a massive increase in phone calls recently, asking for hospital transport across the area, so if you or someone you know is interested, please get in touch!

A few weeks ago a student journalist came in and interviewed Steve, one of our volunteer drivers and Brend,a one of our users and it was played on BBC Suffolk this morning! Click play on the video to listen to it. So grateful to Gracie King for coming down and showing how dedicated and needed our drivers are.

Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Can you spare couple of hours a week helping elderly and vulnerable people going to and from hospital, doctors and taking them shopping?

Get involved, we would love to speak to you! We desperately need more volunteer drivers, in order to help everyone in need!

Volunteering has been shown to increase mental health so you will feel good by helping someone else.

Full training is provided (Midas for minibuses), mileage expenses are paid at 45p per mile. Call us on 01728 830516
