Client notice 🌟 due to staff shortages we are having to make the very difficult decision to close Celyn Abergele tomorrow, our admin staff and animal care assistant will be working at our sister surgery, rest assured help will be provided if you phone our line, we have put this help in place already. We will keep everyone up to date on here or on noticeboards where needed of course.

We can only apologise for this months inconvenience but we are doing everything we can to be open with these staffing issues and we are trying our best to only close when we absolutely have to.

Opening times for August/September 2025
🐾💙

Unfortunately due to staff shortages we are either closing some days or closing early.
Rest assured if you call our line you will still get through to one of our veterinary professionals and they will advise you on what to do next from the practice they are working at, if there is anything you can do at home or if one of our surgery’s could see you 😊

Although we are closed, some of the staff who cannot help medically (hence the closure) will still be working in a mixture of Village vets Buckley, Celyn vets Holywell and Prestatyn, we will of course triage each call to get your pet in as close to home as possible although it is not always possible, even more so for our emergency calls. The days we have only a nurse on site, they can help with some things but for help prescribing we will still be able to contact a vet to get you in 🐾

We understand this is frustrating however we are hoping to be back on track going forward, all 3 veterinary surgery’s listed above are here to help through our phone lines 🫶🏼🐾

Blue-green algae can be toxic to dogs. ☢️

It may appear as scum or green paint on the surface of ponds or lakes, but even a small amount can cause dogs to become seriously ill. Keep them out of water that looks suspicious, and always check for warning signs when out on walks.
