Last week, a woman lied about her riding experience just so she could go on a trail ride. Extremely dangerous for her and damaging to my horse.

This week, some bloke turns up claiming to be an experienced Western rider. The moment he got on the horse, I called him a fu***ng liar.

He insisted he wasn’t lying and had been taught Western riding by someone here in Cyprus. Well, he couldn’t ride. Not only are we the only Western riding school in Cyprus, but I know the person who supposedly taught him, and they’re not qualified to teach Western riding.

Here’s some advice for riding schools. Stop blowing smoke up your students’ arses just so they keep coming back every week and giving you money. Be honest with them so they can actually learn and understand where they are in their riding journey.

Obviously, I didn’t take him out on a trail ride, but I kept his money for wasting my time!

And guess what? He’s coming back to learn from a real teacher.
