✨🦷🐾 Today, Coco, the 11-year-old Vizsla girl visited us for an anesthesia-free dental cleaning session, and she was incredibly patient, cooperative, and handled the whole experience beautifully. ❤️

As dogs get older, especially once they reach their senior years, their teeth can show various signs of aging and wear. Besides plaque and tartar buildup, we may also notice discoloration, enamel wear, chipped or fractured teeth, gum recession, and sometimes more serious dental problems such as periodontal disease or tooth decay. Not every stain means something is wrong! Some discoloration is purely cosmetic, while other changes may indicate underlying dental issues that require veterinary attention.

In Coco's case, we were able to remove the tartar buildup, including deposits beneath the gumline. This is particularly important because plaque and tartar accumulating below the gumline can contribute to gum inflammation and periodontal disease.

Big thank you to sweet Coco for being such a wonderful and patient girl today! ❤️🐶
