It’s been a busy week.

All the horses have enjoyed their spas day with the ferrier(s)!!

The hay is unloaded, the lawn is cut, the paddocks are cleaned, and the horses are settled.

An early morning unloading hay, and what a difference a break in the weather made. The cooler temperatures were a welcome change from the hot, humid days we’re usually unloading in. The horses have a fresh supply, and we’re grateful for the helping hands that made it all possible. 🌾🚜

Have you ever seen a horse suck on his tongue? I never had… until Nico. 😂

After he finishes his treat, he stands there for the longest time sucking on his tongue, savoring every last bit of flavor. It’s the cutest little habit, and he looks so content, like he’s trying to make that treat last forever. ❤️🐴

Mother Nature has been teasing us all day! 🌦️

The horses came inside to wait out the storm, but it barely amounted to anything. As soon as the skies brightened, back outside they went… only for the clouds to roll in again.

Forest wasn’t worried though. 💙 He seemed to know something we didn’t. He calmly watched the sky as if to say, “It’s okay, it’s just going to blow over.”

And, as usual… Forest was exactly right. 🐱🐴

Nothing beats the smell of fresh rain, a cool breeze, and a field full of happy horses. Days like this remind us how much they appreciate the simple things. 🌦️💚🐴
