Spaying or neutering can provide important health and population-control benefits, but the best timing isn't necessarily identical for every pet.

Age, breed, size, health, and individual risk factors can all play a role in deciding when to perform the procedure.

Have questions about what's appropriate for your pet? Call (905) 430-2644 to talk with our team.

Cats are naturally curious, and batting objects around helps them explore movement, texture, and sound. Unfortunately, sometimes their experiments involve your favorite coffee mug. Keeping breakable or potentially dangerous items out of reach can help curious cats explore safely. For more cat care advice, call (905) 430-2644.

Dog aging isn't quite as simple as multiplying by seven.

Dogs mature rapidly in their first years, and aging rates vary considerably by size and breed. That's one reason veterinary recommendations may change as your dog moves through different life stages.

Want to know what care is appropriate for your dog's current life stage? Call (905) 430-2644.

Pets can have some pretty unusual habits, and many are completely harmless personality quirks. However, a new or sudden behavior change can sometimes be associated with discomfort, stress, or illness. You know your pet’s normal better than anyone, so pay attention when something seems different. Call (905) 430-2644 with any concerns.

Every pet has a personality all their own, but behavior can also tell us quite a bit about their wellbeing. Changes in energy, appetite, sleep, sociability, or normal routines are worth paying attention to, especially when they appear suddenly. If something about your pet seems different, call (905) 430-2644. Now describe your pet using only emojis!

Heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels, and infected pets may not show obvious symptoms early on.

The good news is that heartworm disease is preventable. Staying consistent with veterinarian-recommended prevention and testing gives your pet important protection against this mosquito-borne disease.

Have questions about heartworm testing or prevention? Call (905) 430-2644.

Big or little, every dog has individual needs. Size and breed can influence exercise requirements, nutrition, joint health, dental care, and even how quickly a dog ages. Whatever size pup has your heart, routine veterinary care helps keep them feeling their best. Call (905) 430-2644 to schedule a visit.

Those little treats can add up faster than you think!

Treats should complement a nutritionally balanced diet, not become a major source of daily calories. Keep portions small and remember that chews, table scraps, and training rewards all count toward your dog's daily intake.

Concerned about your pet's weight or nutrition? Call (905) 430-2644.

Dental disease can be painful long before a pet shows obvious signs of discomfort. Bad breath, red gums, difficulty chewing, dropping food, or avoiding harder foods can all signal a problem.

Regular dental exams and at-home care can help protect your pet's teeth and gums throughout their life.

Have questions about your pet's dental health? Call (905) 430-2644.

Collars and ID tags are important, but they can break or become lost. A microchip provides permanent identification that stays with your pet.

There's one important catch: your contact information needs to stay current in the microchip registry. If you've recently moved or changed phone numbers, take a moment to update it.

Interested in microchipping your pet? Call (905) 430-2644.
