"Adopting a senior dog is like fast forwarding to the best part." ❤️

Senior dogs often don't need years of training or waiting to grow into themselves- they're already full of love, gratitude, and wisdom.

When you adopt a senior, you skip straight to the snuggles, the gentle walks, and the soul-deep bond.

Looking for unconditional love wrapped in a few grey whiskers? Find your happy with us here at Happy's Place ❤️.

Too many baths can strip your dog’s skin of natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. Short-haired breeds tend to stay cleaner for longer, while long-haired or double-coated dogs may require more regular grooming and occasional baths to prevent matting and unpleasant odors. Always use pet-safe shampoo. Call us at 905-430-2644 with specific questions!

If you're heading to a beach today and bringing your dog along, before you let your dog jump in, check for algae blooms. Blue-green algae can be deadly if ingested, and even a small amount is dangerous - for you and your dog. When in doubt — skip the swim and stick to safe, clean water sources. We’ve seen cases right here in Minnesota - most recently at Lake Nokomis. Does your dog prefer swimming in a lake, pool, or not at all?
