This summer, we were lucky enough to welcome not one, but TWO veterinary students and one veterinary technician student to our clinic! 🐾🎓

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share our knowledge, experience, and love for veterinary medicine with the next generation. ❤️ A huge thank you to all of our wonderful clients for your patience and understanding as our students learned alongside our team.

Teaching is such a rewarding part of what we do, but we’re also reminded that we’re always learning too! Every team member brings different experiences, ideas, and knowledge to the table, and we learn so much from our co-workers every day. 🩺✨

Why vaccinating indoor cats for rabies matters 🐱💉

“I’m not worried about rabies—my cat is strictly indoors.”

We hear this all the time and we understand the thought. But even indoor cats can have unexpected encounters with wildlife.

Recently, a bat flew in through the window of a 17th-floor apartment. One of our feline patients caught the bat, and because there was a possibility the cat had been bitten, we suddenly had to take the situation very seriously.

The scary part? Bat bites can be tiny and may not be obvious. And rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms develop.

Keeping your cat vaccinated against rabies provides an important layer of protection—not only for your pet, but also for the people and other animals in your home.

Indoor cats can still encounter bats, wildlife, or other unexpected exposures. We can’t always control what comes through an open window, door, balcony, or into our building.

❤️ Please talk to your veterinarian about keeping your indoor cat’s rabies vaccine up to date. It could make an unexpected situation much less frightening—and potentially save a life.
