It's been a minute, and I apologize, but I seem to be at a loss for words! I couldn't be more proud of Tig and how he sold through our bull sale. I am so excited for Tessa Verbeek and the places she will go with Tig. They are going to be a power to be reckoned with, I have no doubt! Tig sold for an impressive $7,000, which is a great start to the dog portion of our annual bull sale and I hope this will be the first of many. Our goal is to provide well started dogs ready to work!

This was a full circle moment for me as Tig was bred/raised by my dear friend of 16 years! I would not be where I am at in the stock dog world if not for Dee Lonsberry! She was the one who planted the seed, building my passion and understanding of working dogs and stock! I am so proud and honored for our first dog to go through the sale to have been produced by Dee!!!

The bull sale as a whole was very successful, and we are filled with gratitude! Our bulls averaged $10,700, and we couldn't be more thankful for all of those who were involved to make this day possible! We cannot wait to see you next year!!! More pictures to come! ❤️

The more I work him, the more I like him!!! At only 1.5 years old he he has all the tools and foundation to make him successful in a number of avenues!

My most favorite type of bite is a bite out of control, not adrenaline!

Tig understands his side commands, currently solidifying inside flanks, and building confidence in his drive. We are stretching out his outrun, he lifts the sheep with feel and has natural pace. He will hit both heads and heels on sheep and cattle.

Tig is learning the ropes and putting his training into some practical use! Giving the training some purpose gives our sessions some meaning. I handled him more than I would like as this was his first time. As the job progressed, he started to cover on his own. He also started to widen out to cover the bulls instead of trying to bite, but would bite if necessary. He held his ground really well!

Knowing when to quit... we worked at this job for about an hour and we had 18/20 feet in the trailer. However, we weren't going to get the one bull in no way, no how. Kyle had to come help, and we had to squeeze him on with the trailer door. Very proud of Tig, his cool head, and heart!

Here, I just spent time reinforcing that the expectations are the same as when we are working on foot! I use the flag as an extension of my arm to support what I am asking. DL Bar Tig had his first introduction to pairs yesterday! They offer a different feel and energy, so I like to introduce dogs in as low stress setting as possible. Tig isn't 18 months old yet, so all I want is for him to build on healthy exposures!
