Just getting settled in! I'm extremely excited to have the opportunity to demo our working dogs, while educating more people on what they can do for their ranch! I'm can't wait to create some new friendships tomorrow!

TODAY!!! MARCH 20, 2025 - we will be attempting to go LIVE for the preview!

The sale order and supplement sheet for The 8th Annual Golden Sunset Ranch Bull & Dog Sale!

PREVIEW!!! Tig will be working some heifers in the preview, which will be at 11AM!!! The sale starts at 2PM!!!

Bidding is available through DLMS, on the phone, and of course, in person! We'd love to see you out at the sale! Come and join us for some beef on a bun and refreshments!

You had better come out March 20, 2025 if you want a chance at Tig! He helped me sort some heifers off for the preview this Thursday.

The more I work him, the more I like him!!! At only 1.5 years old he he has all the tools and foundation to make him successful in a number of avenues!

My most favorite type of bite is a bite out of control, not adrenaline!

Tig is learning the ropes and putting his training into some practical use! Giving the training some purpose gives our sessions some meaning. I handled him more than I would like as this was his first time. As the job progressed, he started to cover on his own. He also started to widen out to cover the bulls instead of trying to bite, but would bite if necessary. He held his ground really well!

Knowing when to quit... we worked at this job for about an hour and we had 18/20 feet in the trailer. However, we weren't going to get the one bull in no way, no how. Kyle had to come help, and we had to squeeze him on with the trailer door. Very proud of Tig, his cool head, and heart!

Tig is getting his first work in on horseback. When you have a solid foundation, the transition is usually pretty smooth. Here, I just spent time reinforcing that the expectations are the same as when we are working on foot! I use the flag as an extension of my arm to support what I am asking.
