Off to a great start with new teams and eager students! ❤️ There’s nothing I love more than watching connections grow, energy build, and those special bonds begin to form between dogs and their people. It’s all about relationship building — creating trust, connection, and a partnership that lasts a lifetime! 🐶✨

🎉 CHAOS TO CALM GRADUATION SPOTLIGHT! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Maeve and Kuma on completing the Chaos to Calm program! 🐾❤️

Kuma has faced some significant challenges with dog reactivity, and helping a dog navigate those big feelings takes time, patience, understanding, and a whole lot of dedication.

Maeve, alongside her dad, has put in that work. They’ve taken the time to understand Kuma, meet him where he’s at, and give him the support he needs to succeed. Rather than rushing the process, they’ve been diligent, committed, and willing to learn what works best for their dog.

That is what this journey is all about. It’s not about expecting our dogs to change overnight or asking more of them than they’re ready for. It’s about understanding them, building trust, celebrating progress, and helping them become more confident one step at a time. ❤️

Maeve, you should be incredibly proud of the work you’ve put in, and I hope you know how proud I am of you, too! Your dedication to Kuma is something worth celebrating, and it’s been a pleasure to be part of your journey!

Congratulations! Here’s to continuing to build on everything you’ve accomplished together. 🐶💪

I was talking with a couple of students and I wonder if we would have enough students to run a day time Intro to Agility. Anyone interested?
Need to have up to level 2 obedience.
Probably on Fridays, we need 4 students!

🐾 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT! 🐾

There is nothing better than seeing a rescue dog go from simply finding a home… to truly living his best life. ❤️

This handsome boy came to his family as a rescue, and watching his journey has been so rewarding. His family has put in the time, patience, consistency, and hard work — and it shows!
Today, he is thriving, enjoying life, and doing AMAZING! 🙌🐾

These transformations don't happen overnight. They happen because someone is willing to believe in their dog, put in the work, celebrate the little wins, and keep going even when things aren't easy.
I couldn't be more proud of this team and how far they've come. ❤️
This is what it's all about. Seeing a dog who needed a second chance now confidently enjoying the life he deserves.
Keep shining, big guy!!🐾❤️

A heartfelt goodbye to some very special dogs. 🐾❤️

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful dogs through Northern K9 Academy.
Some have stayed with us for a short time, and others have been part of our classes and our lives for years.

They start as students, but along the way, you get to know them. Their personalities, their quirks, their goofy moments, their challenges, and all the little things that make them who they are. I get to watch them learn, grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and celebrate their successes with their people.

So it’s never easy to hear that one of our four-legged students has passed away.
To my students who have recently had to say goodbye to a beloved dog, I am so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of their lives and for trusting me with them.

Every dog leaves behind their own little paw print — in the memories of their families, in the friendships they made, and in the memories of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing them.

They may no longer be walking through the gym doors, but the memories they left behind will always be part of our Northern K9 family. ❤️🐾
