SUMMER CAMPS

Valley East Minor Basketball League (VEMBL) has joined forces with Trevella Stables to provide two great summer camp offerings. In cooperation, with a longtime supporter and sponsor, VEMBL is proud to offer 2 weeks of summer basketball camps. Additionally, for the animal loving member of the family our partners at Trevella Stables are offering parallel summer riding camps.
Camps Include:

Today we lost an incredibly amazing young lady with the passing of Zoé. She was such a big part of Trevella from competitive rider, staff and camp counselor. Always so kind and loving with the horses and such a hard worker making sure everything was perfectly in order and clean(she took pride in mucking some of the cleanest stalls). With so many great memories what will always stand out at the top was watching Zoé working with our camp kids. I had offered her one camp as a trial run to see how she would do and needless to say she worked every camp after that, even while battling with her illness she wanted to be a part of the camps. She was so full of energy always coming up and playing fun and exciting games to keep the camp kids entertained from drop off to pick up. It was a joy watching her share her passion for horses with the young kids and they were so lucky to have had her and so was I.

We have been so blessed to have known you and you will be greatly missed.

We are happy to announce that we have created a new opening for beginner riders. It will be strictly every Monday at 6pm and there are only 3 spots available.

Unfortunately, there aren't any other days, times, or additional spots. So, if you are looking for beginner lessons and are available at 6pm on Mondays.

Langdon TS 2016-2024

Sadly on March 26 we lost Langdon suddenly in a tragic accident.
This has been a devastating loss for Trevella, in particular Christine as he was her mare Pelanca’s final foal and for Carolynn who he helped find joy in the show ring again. Langdon was truly loved by everyone who met him for his big personality. He had his momma Nia’s cute face and incredibly willing attitude. He greeted every person who walked into the barn with a distinct nicker that is noticeably missing now. He was playful and personable and impossible not to love.

Langdon, from his very first show, loved to
be in the show ring. All of his quirks and weirdo moments on the ground disappeared in the ring and he became a true show horse. He had so much zest for competing that he had to be reminded, every now and then, that hunter judges don’t always appreciate a squeal of enthusiasm at the beginning of a trip. He had a big heart and always tried his best. He was a joy to ride and show.

The impact of losing Langdon serves as a reminder of how fragile horses are and how lucky we are to share in their lives while they are with us. We are grateful for our time with him yet deeply saddened by how short it was as it was hoped Langdon would be a part of Christine’s family for many years to come. We hope wherever he is he is happy, no longer afraid of his own tail, and eating an endless supply of his most favourite treat: grass.
