Whether you're out for a drive in the country or stopping to take photos, please remember that fields, barns, and farmyards are someone's workplace and home.

Entering a farm without permission can pose risks to animal health, crop production, farm biosecurity, and personal safety.

If you'd like to visit a farm, look for opportunities that welcome visitors through agritourism or always ask permission before entering.

Respect the farm. Respect the farmer.

Started the day with baking. The strawberries in the dehydrator are for a "sprouted rolled oats cookie recipe with dehydrated berries" . We are using pick your own strawberries along with our white strawberries.

Next, garlic chocolate chip cookies.

And at some point, a batch of crostolli.

We would like to thank Sandra Maia Kuze for our invitation to the Summer Solstice Celebration yesterday as well as the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre team.

Just before heading out, gathered farm flowers for our headbands which were created during the road trip. The introduction to Latvian tradition was overwhelming. The dance, music, stories, and food were beyond expectation. Our hosts were so gracious.

The summer workload is overwhelming, so breaks like this are appreciated. Enjoy your summer events, stop in when you are in the area.
