Pick one? Wrong answer. 🖤🤍 Bucket and Chowder are a bonded pair, salt and pepper, cookies and cream, and they go home together. Bucket loves a head scratch, and Chowder leans into every pet. $385 adopts both. Apply at torontocatrescue.ca/adoptable-cats

One weekend. Six stores. So many cats hoping to meet you. 🍁🐾

This is National Adoption Week with PetSmart Charities, our biggest adoption weekend of the fall. Instead of scrolling through profiles, you can meet our cats in person, see their personalities up close, and talk with the volunteers who know them best.

Adopt this weekend, and you may save on supplies to welcome your new cat home thanks to PetSmart!

Some of these cats have waited a long time for this moment. Your visit could be the one that changes everything for them.

45 cats. 1,700 km. One long road to safety. 🚐❤️

On October 20, 2026, 45 cats arrived from a shelter in Dryden, Ontario, travelling more than 1,700 km to reach Toronto and the Waterloo Region. Our team and volunteers made sure no one got left behind.

But their journey isn’t over yet. Each cat needs a full medical exam, spay/neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip, and some may need even more care. They’ll be available for adoption once we’re sure they’re safe, healthy and ready.

We need your help now. Here’s how:
🏡 Foster a cat while they find their footing: torontocatrescue.ca/foster
🎟️ Buy a Meowloween 50/50 ticket by Oct 31 and help us keep saving cats: rafflebox.ca/raffle/TCR (the jackpot is already over $22,000)

Know someone who’s been thinking about fostering? Send this their way 💙

Harley came to us from a hoarding house, too scared to be touched 🥺 With time and a lot of patience, he let his guard down. Now? Belly-up trust and a daily dose of bird TV 🐦

More cats need that same second chance. New kittens need medical care, including one tiny boy facing an amputation, and 43 more cats arrive Oct 20 needing vaccines and vet checks.

Our Meowloween 50/50 pot is at $17,880 and climbing 🎃 Win half the pot and help cats like Harley at the same time. 4 tickets for $20.

9 shy cats are waiting in cages. Could you give one a quiet room? 💔

Since September 11, these cats from a hoarding rescue have been living in cages at vet clinics and our Recovery Centre. They’re cared for, but they’re frightened, and they urgently need a chance to decompress outside a cage.

None of them are aggressive. They just need:
🏠 A small, quiet, secure room
⏳ Patience to let them hide and set the pace
🤍 No pressure to be touched or held

You don’t need to turn them into lap cats. You’d be giving them a safe space and a chance.

📝 Apply to foster: torontocatrescue.ca/foster-application-form
In your application, write “shy hoarding cats” and we’ll fast-track you.

Can’t foster? Please share. The person with that quiet room might be someone you know. ❤️
