Yes, lilies can be a beautiful addition to your home or garden for the spring. 💐 However, it can be difficult to visually identify (and remember) which lily varieties are toxic to cats vs. the ones that are not.

To be safe, it's always best to leave out the lilies in bouquets and decor if you have a cat at home. It's just not worth the risk.

Hello!
We will be CLOSING EARLY today (April 3rd) at 5:30pm instead of our usual 6pm. Our team will be attending a continuing education seminar so that we may learn how to support you and your pets better! We will be back in the clinic first thing tomorrow morning at 8am!

We have begun our season of annual Lyme disease and Heartworm testing in preparation for the upcoming warm weather. We had a patient in today for their annual screening and they have come up positive for Heartworm❗️ We repeated the test on a separate blood sample, which also came back positive, and unfortunately confirms Heartworm infection.

Heartworm is still here in Southwestern Ontario and needs to be protected against. Luckily the patient was not showing symptoms yet which means we caught this parasite early and will be able to treat this disease with minimal risk to the dog 😊
It just goes to show how important yearly testing and prevention is!

Found kitten!

Yesterday afternoon an amazing woman found a kitten in a snowbank. She was able to scoop him up and he is safe here with us at the clinic. He was rescued at the corner of Clarke and Medway Rd. He is estimated to be 12 weeks old. No microchip. If you or anyone you know may be missing a little one from that area please reach out to us! If nobody comes forward he does have a home lined up to go to!

Found Apple Air Pods!

Update 1-9: We have managed to try and find the owner via the Lost Mode. The owner should receive a notification to their email with the location of the Airpods here! We do know the owner's first name for them.

Monday afternoon there was a pair of apple air pods found on Agnes street outside of the clinic. An awesome client found them and brought them to us so we can try and find their owner! Looks like they might have fallen out of someone's pocket. If you are missing a pair please come to the clinic and tell us the colour of the case to claim them!
