Silhouette aka “Silly”

Silly is a 16.3hh 2007 RPSI mare. She has been schooled and competed up to 4th level in Dressage and has showed a 3ft jump course but has schooled 3ft3. She has arthritis in her left front pastern and has been off riding for a while so she will need some time and patience to bring her back up. She will not be able to jump high anymore but will be able to do lower jumps with time. Silly has spent a few years being a great lesson horse for beginners however for this lease she does require someone who has knowledge and skill because she can be hot. Other than her being sensitive she is quite safe and can be ridden bareback/bridleless/out on the trail alone or with a group! She is the type of horse that can be left in the field for a while and then come out and never needs to be lunged before getting on. She is not spooky whatsoever just a bit overreactive to the aids sometimes and likes to be quick! She is truly such a sweetheart and can teach you a lot! Silly is used for a couple beginner lessons and will need to be shared between that but we are super flexible with dates and times and she is not used often so you won’t feel like you are not getting enough time with her. Mid💲🥕🥕🥕 per month. Pictures are attached. Please PM for more info. We will not be responding to comments.

Sam (15) & Alex (10)

These beautiful halflinger geldings can be leased as a pair for driving or as singles for someone who wants a project. Both stand at about 15.3hh and they are solid boys that can make the tallest rider look fitting.

For driving: They come with their gear and we have an older wagon to use. They have lots of experience driving and have been used heavily for farm work but have not been used much this past year so they will need a refresher. Someone with lots of driving experience would be best for them. Can be leased off property to do your hauling or field work! These boys are so nice and kind but can be a bit nervous in new environments. This can easily be fixed by having them in consistent work but that has not been feasible for us this year. Mid 💲🥕🥕🥕 per month.

For a project: Both boys do not have a lot of experience riding. They are very green broke but have been used in our lesson program last year and did well under consistent work. They are not for beginners and will need someone who wants to have some fun starting and putting miles on a horse. Trails or arena you can go whatever way you’d like. This is on property lease only and will have a mandatory lesson once a week to help out. These boys are sometimes used for lessons and will need to be shared but their use is quite low with us. Low 💲🥕🥕🥕 each horse per month. Pictures are attached. Please PM for more info. We will not be responding to comments.

🦄⭐️Horse Show Stars⭐️🦄
A couple of our Superior Equine gals recently went to a local horse show here in Terrace - the Timberland! They definitely prettied up nicely and brought home some fun and well earned prizes!! Thank you so much to the Totem Saddle Club for an awesome weekend. Thank you to our judges who travelled to be there. Thank you to all of the riders who helped support the show. ❤️
To say it was an amazing weekend for our team is an understatement. These girls have worked incredibly hard in their lessons to improve their riding and to come home with their scores and prizes that they earned. Not only do they put a tremendous amount of effort into their lessons, they spend countless hours at the barn being educated and riding on their own, practicing, memorizing, preparing their mental game, physically exercising, setting up, taking down, watching other lessons, doing extra chores to ride more. They are totally dedicated.
Not only are these girls turning into true equestrian athletes themselves but so are their horses! The care that these two put into their horses is 1000%. Coming on their off days to hose the horses down when it’s too hot. Grain, supplements, medicine, stretches, riding at 5am before school, riding at 8pm to avoid the heat, riding at 3pm to practice riding in the heat, anything and everything that will help their horse succeed and become in better shape they do it.
So for them to come home with their prizes and scores that they had is a true win for them and an amazing reward for all of their hard work and efforts. It makes a coach really proud 🥹. HAPPY RIDING ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🦄❤️Stable Etiquette for Newbie Parents
If your child takes to riding - Copied from an FEI article ❤️🦄
Below is a little piece of an FEI (International Equestrian Federation) article I was reading and I really enjoyed this part about what new parents should expect at a barn. All of these rules apply to our barn.
⭐️Here are a few etiquette tips if you aren’t familiar with horse facilities:

1) Never, ever smoke near the stables.
2)Drive slowly in the vicinity, as there could be riders or people walking horses nearby.
3) Ask before petting any horses you don’t know, as there are few who bite. Also, there are occasional outbreaks of horse diseases that are spread by touch, and you wouldn’t want to infect someone else’s animal.
4) Never give any horses treats without permission first, as some horses have allergies or calorie restrictions, and some get too pushy about treats, like dogs.
5) Don’t bring your dog to the stable unless you get the okay first, and it should remain on the leash at all times. Be prepared to put your dog in your vehicle if it becomes disruptive.
6) Save praise and questions for after the lesson, so your child and the riding instructor can concentrate thoroughly
If you have any questions don’t ever hesitate to ask! I hope that gives a little insight on some barn rules that generally apply to most barns 🤠 HAPPY RIDING 🤠

🤩☀️Welcome to the Family☀️🤩
I am a little late to post but I want to welcome these two blonde boys to the Superior Equine Family!! Sam & Alex are originally from the states but we picked them up from Manitoba, and are both Halfingers that are well broke to drive - and partially ride!! They have fit in really well so far. They are both kind, smart, and super quick learners!! While we don’t have a wagon (yet) the blondies have been re-learning what it’s like to have someone on their back!! Thank you Shelley and Bob Dyck for your hospitality during our visit. What great horses these boys are 🥹🥰
Happy Riding!!! 🤠👋🏼🦄👏🏼💥☀️🥰❤️🤠🤩

🦄💕Triton and Pia💕🦄
Today we laid to rest two of the best horses I have ever owned - Triton (32yrs) and Pia (29yrs).
Triton was my first horse and taught me immense confidence throughout our riding years together. We did it all… gymkhanas, horse shows, jumping, dressage, western pleasure, reining, the years of extreme trail rides, and so much more. Triton has also been a starter horse for many others that have passed through our lives. Bombproof, safe, slow, he was a true gem, something you don’t find often.
Pia was my second horse and she was rescued from Alberta. She was the polar opposite of Triton… pushy, stubborn, anxious, sometimes rude 😂 but she was incredibly safe. You could leave her in the field for a year and pull her out and she would be the same - very reliable. I also did everything with her and she became another well rounded horse. Pia has also taught many others that have passed through our lives.
If you had the chance to ride either of these horses you are very blessed and I hope those memories last forever. Rest easy my loves. It was not an easy choice but it was the best. ❤️🥹💕🦄
Happy Riding❤️
